Honestly, very terrible experience. Please do not buy a lawn mower or tractor from here!!! We bought a 4K riding lawn mower. The day we came to pick it up from the store ( two days later) they could not locate the lawn mower causing us to wait for 1.5 hrs. They then find it in the back. They drove it to the front and were very rude about our questions in regards to basic safety and operations. We placed it on the trailer ourselves. When we got home, it was completely empty of gas before we could even get it off of the trailer. We fill it up, finally get it to start. At this point we had to return the trailer to Home Depot to avoid additional charges. Now will not start, all within hours of picking up a brand new lawn mower. We reached out to multiple managers the night of. One of which was nice and told us it sounds like a manufacturing problem and that in the morning we could pick up the trailer from them for free and exchange mowers. This morning we call and they have rented the trailer out to someone else when it was suppose to be reserved for us. After being on hold collectively for over a hour, we finally call a local shop to ask how we can fix it. We purchased the protection plan and the shop said they deal with Home Depot all the time and they need to submit the invoice electronically and it should be taken care of. The manager at Home Depot has no idea how this process goes and states they wouldn’t pay for service to pick up the mower. Now the shop is doing their job for them and hopefully will be coming to pick it up to be serviced. With the protection plan we should be getting a new lawn mower but are unable to find anyone willing to make it right. We spoke to the protection plan company and they state they cannot make a claim until after 5 days of purchase which is no where in the information that I received. It has been a complete nightmare. I would recommend buying equipment like this at a smaller business with...
Read moreAVOID!! They've treated my horribly both times I've attempted to shop there. The first occasion I talked to 4 different employees trying to get them to help me find what I needed. Not 1 would help me. They all said, "I don't know" and walked away. One even said, "I don't know, I just water the flowers." I was asking for the hanging baskets that were taking up 1/3 of the front page of their weekly ad. When I talked to the manager he said they never even got the flowers, and he wouldn't offer to sell me any other at the same price or a rain check for when they do come in. Then he called the employee Tristan at the register and told him I complained that he wouldn't help me, so when I went to the ONLY checkout, guess who was waiting with a frown? Tristan. He wouldn't even bag my things. Just glared at me.
Today I called to spend $2,000 on fence materials at HD. They talked to my dad yesterday and said they had the materials. I called to buy them and now all of the sudden they don't have the right size dog ear boards. I asked if he (Marvin, the guy I'm talking to at HD) wouldn't mind if I called me dad and checked if that would change the quantity we needed, and Marvin rudely said, "Actually, I'm off and we're now closed. Even if we were to order the ones for you we couldn't even deliver it until Thursday!" Thursday! They told my dad Monday! This was at 2:45 on a Saturday. I don't know why Home Depot would be "closing" so early.
I will NEVER shop at this store again. I tried to give them a second chance, but the employees are extremely rude and unwilling to help customers. Also the Manager does not care. Cleary. Or this store would have decent...
Read moreThis is a well run Home Depot. I have been a customer ever since the store opened back in 2006/7 I don't remember the exact date, back then I was running a crew restoring an historic building in downtown Bentonville. They did a good job taking care of my needs then. Many weeks I purchased $10,000 or more for over a year... That restoration led to other jobs of the same type.
Since 2009 I have only bought things for myself or jobs in my house. Now in 2022 I don't buy that much but I still can normally find the things I want and if I need help with something, every department has at least one person who is retired from the trade (a plumber, an electrician, a sheetrock guy and so on.) I am in no way saying that every person you see wearing that orange vest will know anything and I have met more than a few who would not have made out the first day on a job I ran. However I guess that lots of folks are having trouble getting good help and I rarely see one of the less than good ones a week or two later.
All of the managers I have met over the years have always been reasonable and willing to find a way to work out a problem fairly. The present manager "Mike" is a real quality manager, he has fixed every issue I have dealt with him on. I get asked to help with things from people who were customers of my business years ago, I ran a fixed Wireless Internet provider to folks out in these hills where a lot of folks could only get dial-up so a lot of older folks still have my phone number... I must be a soft touch, if asked I will try to help if I can..
That's the best I can do for reviewing this Home...
