The only reason I don't give one star is because the place was clean and the hostess was nice. That's where the good ends. We came in at 4:57pm and were seated immediately. We then sat for 11 minutes without being acknowledged. No server, no water, no nothing. We had a server do a drive-by, but it wasn't her table and she didn't come back.
Understand, the restaurant was at less than 20% capacity. Servers were sitting around chatting happily. We counted no less than 6 servers behind the wall, meaning they were on the clock, but not serving us. It was at this point that we left, as we had seen all we needed to see.
Avoid at all costs. This place's service absolutely sucks.
EDIT: After leaving the previous review, the owners sent us a $30 gift card in an attempt to lure us back. Against our better judgement, we returned tonight. We arrived once again, a few minutes earlier, at 4:53pm. The hostess seated us immediately, and Christina was our server. Let me say this first--Christina was very attentive, very pleasant, and an overall great server. Five stars to her. Also, Makayla was very pleasant when she ran our food out. But that's where the pleasantries end.
I ordered a simple 7 oz sirloin, cooked medium. All was well there. Steak was fine, sides were good and hot. Wife's plate is another story. We explained to Christina that she was deathly allergic to scallops, but she wanted the entree that included scallops. We requested a skewer of shrimp instead. When the food was brought out, there were TWO skewers of scallops! Christina was very apologetic, and because I had seen her write the specifics of the order on her pad, I knew it wasn't her issue. Unless someone in the kitchen made a malicious plate, it was just inattentiveness. The plate was sent back, and another was brought back out just a few minutes later...but there was no skewer of shrimp...or scallops...or anything. This time, it was just the lobster tail and the shrimp scampi dish.
At this point, she'd been waiting nearly 40 minutes, and we just finished the meal and left. I made a point to notify the manager that Christina was awesome...but I can assure you 100% that we wouldn't come back to Red Lobster again if it were the only restaurant in the state. This time, the service was on point, but the food was terribly handled.
I promised we'd give it another shot, and we're normally accepting of a mistake here and there. But this was so far beyond that, it's not even funny. So, if you are looking for seafood, steaks, or anything else...I would highly suggest going ANYWHERE else. Sorry, Red Lobster...you...
Read moreI took my wife, daughter, and son in law for my daughters birthday to eat at this establishment Saturday night. It was for sure the worst service and time I have ever had at any Red Lobster in my life. We waited 30 minutes to be seated which is not bad for a Saturday night at Red lobster, but we were set in a little hallway by the bar and forgotten about. Could not get drink refills or if we did the waitress would take your glass and not come back for 20 minutes or more, ask for biscuits but did not get them till we were done eating our meal, did not get our appetizer till after the meal, all dirty plates from salad to the end were left on a very small table for 4 of us to try to deal with while we were eating, Lobster was burnt, and when we ask about it finally the so called manager came by and basically threw another plate down with another burnt Lobster tail and ask if that would work. Before I could answer she bolted off like she was mad. We continued to try to get refills and biscuits but finally decided to just leave. The waitress apologized and said she was new and she wanted to talk to the manager about it as to give us a discount. She returned to say that they offered to remove the price of the appetizer which we never got in the first place till meal was finished. When you go into a restaurant and pay $20.00 to $30.00 a plate not counting your drinks and appetizer, I feel you are paying for service and atmosphere, and not some young manager that can't do there job taking care of there employees and customers. This is what our world has became today at it is pitiful.
I have read through the other reviews since writing this one which I did not even elaborate on all the issues we had. But after reading them I see that this is a ongoing problem that doesn't seem to get fixed. So what good does it do to leave reviews unless maybe future customers could see and...
Read moreI hadn't eaten at red lobster since I was a kid, and only ate here today because I had a $50 gift card from the Home for Dinner organization which red lobster sponsors. I am absolutely planning to eat there again however! The food was amazing. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The bread was hot, buttery, and sent delightful tingles of flavor running down my tongue. I got two assortment dishes to try a little bit of everything and it was all perfect. The crab had great texture and flavor, the lobster made my wife completely change her opinion of lobster (she'd had cheap lobster once before and thought she didn't like lobster at all because of that) the shrimp were perfect, even the fries were hot and fresh. Every point of the food was completely above reproach. The same level of quality was displayed in the service. Our order was taken promptly, the food was delivered just after we finished our salads, and our waiter (his name was John and he deserves kudos for his service) perfectly balanced attentiveness with discretion so that we never needed to look for him and lacked nothing but at the same time did not feel his presence to be overly intrusive. The atmosphere of the place was very nice and it was clean with music loud enough to provide some conversational privacy without inhibiting that conversation. As for the price, the food was a bit pricier than some restaurants but not significantly so. Considering the quality of the food, I would say the price was very well worth it, and my wife and I could have gotten full from just a shared platter which would have cost us $15 per person. All in all, I had an absolutely delightful experience and completely intend to go there again with my wife...
