I have never been more humiliated by a receptionist and staff in my life. The level of unprofessionalism by this girl with multiple facial piercings and the handling of my complaints by the hotel guest services is unmatched to any experience I've had.
I had a day from absolute hell ending in an unexpected trip to urgent care that left me sad, sore, and in extreme need of relaxation. My significant other called this spa to arrange a massage and decided a facial would be good, too.
We arrive to the hotel 45 mins before my facial and decide to have a cocktail in their lobby bar. I felt it was within reason and another service offered by the hotel that I could utilize to begin relaxing. I had 2 single cocktails and ordered a 3rd to take with me on my next 1.5 hour adventure in the salon.
As I was signing in I could not use my right hand due to a thumb injury and had to use my left, forcing me to make a joke to my significant other next to me that I felt a little tipsy writing out my name with my left hands. The receptionist pipes up saying if I am intoxicated I would not be able to get a massage at the discretion of the masseuse if he felt I was impaired. I assured her I was not drunk, I had only made a joke to my boyfriend. She then sends me back for the facial and the esthetician tells me we do not have time for a robe right now but after. She does the facial and tells me we will then change into a robe and to follow her, she then straight walks me up to the receptionist who then tells me my massage has beee cancelled because the masseuse says he is not comfortable performing the services. This is a person who has not seen me, met me, or talked to me ever.
I am so upset and embarrassed by this denial of service and reasons for it being discussed in front of guests waiting in their lobby. As I leave I tell them I will never be back and the receptionist has the audacity to quip fake niceness to my back in a sticky tone, "have a nice daaay!"
I had no choice but to ask for a hotel manager in the lobby and explained myself. I'm now sobbing in the lobby, beyond embarrassed and feeling shamed for using only this hotel's services and then denied and made to feel less than in front of strangers. He tells me he is sorry for my experience and I said, "yes, me too. I will never return here if this is how your business is run and I will be sharing this with everyone I know."
I called guest services as I left and was put on hold after asking for a refund from the spa since my facial was completely ruined by my tears covering my face. She comes back and says they refuse. I explained I would absolutely be getting a refund for not only it being ruined but on principle for how I was treated. She puts me back on hold and after another 10 mins was hung up on. I called back and another woman answered where I had to once again recant my story. She gets me on the phone with the spa manager who actually is the one who made the reservation for me through my boyfriend and she said she would refund me and would leave it at the hotel desk.
I write this review because this was absolutely the worst experience. Do not waste your time on a less than mediocre spa with even less desirable staff. The manager is the only one who has managed to not completely turn me off because she did indeed refund me.
I do NOT recommend wasting your money here. I would HIGHLY encourage everyone to really consider paying a slightly more premium cost and go to Premier Dermatology. That is what treating yourself looks like. Side note: they serve adult beverages duRing their services there. Consider me a new client of theirs.
Thank you for your compassion and time if you read this in entirety.

Read moreI recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Spa Bonatica, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment with their service. I had booked an appointment over the phone, and it quickly became evident that this spa has the most unprofessional service I have ever encountered.
From the very beginning, the issues started. When I tried to call Spa Bonatica to inquire about my booking or to reschedule, I found myself stuck in a never-ending loop of unanswered phone calls. They never seemed to answer the phone, which left me feeling incredibly frustrated and helpless.
What made this situation even worse was the complete lack of transparency regarding their cancellation policy. When I initially made the appointment over the phone, not once did they mention that there was a cancellation policy in place, let alone that I would be charged 100% of the service if I failed to cancel. This lack of disclosure is not only unprofessional but also unfair to customers who are unaware of these policies.
My frustration with Spa Bonatica reached its peak when my child fell ill, and I had to cancel my appointment. I promptly reached out to them to explain the situation and kindly asked if I could reschedule without incurring any charges. However, they proceeded to charge me 100% of the service fee, showing a complete disregard for my circumstances and the fact that it was not a choice to cancel but a necessity due to my child's health.
The entire experience left me deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. Not only did Spa Bonatica fail to answer their phones, but their lack of transparency and unwillingness to work with customers in challenging situations is truly unprofessional. I had hoped for understanding and flexibility, but instead, I was met with inflexibility and an unsympathetic approach.
I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with Spa Bonatica, especially if you are booking over the phone. Ensure that you fully understand their policies, or better yet, consider exploring other establishments with a more customer-centric approach and a commitment to professionalism and understanding. My experience with Spa Bonatica has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth, and I cannot recommend their services based on my...
Read moreStruggling. Made an appointment while in town for five people to celebrate my birthday. When we were escorted in, we were immediately told the steam room was not working. We were planning to make use of that between appointments. The decor is a bit 1980s but clean. When I made the appointments, they explained that while some were getting facials, others would be getting massages, and then we would flip. After 3 of the five were done, my sister-in-law went in, and I waited. I finally went to the lobby to inquire about me and felt forgotten. She told me I was after my sister-in-law. I was frustrated because that meant I would have to wait an hour for her to finish and then another hour for me to finish. That would put our total time in the spa at five hours. That seemed unreasonable. She informed me that was what was emailed to me, and I agreed to it. I asked about just canceling, but she stated I would still have to pay as it was outside the 24-hour window. I told her just to cancel, and I would pay. I did not want the three people in my party who have been waiting around, with no steam room to wait around for another. The most frustrating part of this was that I planned to say nothing to the members of my party as I didn’t want them to feel bad. It was my birthday. When my sister-in-law came out of her facial, she asked where we were, and the receptionist stated that I had left mad. I was just sitting in the lobby with the rest of my group. I thought that was highly unprofessional. Although the services were good the structure and scheduling around it was extremely poor. The receptionist even told me that they only had one person giving facials but I know that was not true as both of my nieces got a facial at the same time. I also thought it was strange that there was not ambient music playing during your massage. Just silence and breathing. Don’t bother...
