I visited this location on Saturday, October 11th, along with two friendsâwho are localsâafter completing a hike. My friends entered restaurant to be seated, and I remained outside to complete a phone call before entering the restaurant. Upon joining my friends who had been seated at that point for about 3 minutes, I reviewed the menu, shared my selection with my friends in order to not hold up the process, and went inside to wash my hands. When I returned, I noted that our order had not been taken, however we continued conversing. After about another 5 minutes passed I started to take note of our surroundings and the servers aiding other customers, yet not acknowledging our table. Simultaneously, a car pulled up with a couple and I noted that it had been approximately 10 minutes since being seated, and no one had come to the table to ask for our drink orders, much less take our food order. After a few more moments, a male server came to clean the table that was a semi across from us, seated the couple noted above and stated that he would be right back to take their drink order(s). As a result, I stopped himâwhich visibly seemed to annoy himâbecause he had passed our table multiple times, and asked if he could please ask out server to come to the table. At this point he stated, âwe all just kind of work together to serve tables, and he could take our order nowâ. This was both surprising and disheartening as we had now been seated for approximately 15+minutes without any interaction from staff that proceeded to continuously walk by the table and serve other customers. As a result, I replied, âno thank youâ, shared the aforementioned facts with him, and that we were leaving but that I would speak with a manager prior to.
Upon entering the restaurant, I approached the bar and asked the server if I could have a card with the contact information for either corporate or the general manager and was informed, âwe donât have anything like that to provideâ. I then asked to speak with the manager and was informed by the individual who identified herself as Ella, that she was the shift leader, essentially the manager on site. I proceeded to attempt to share what had occurred with Ella and was immediately cut off and told, âthere's no specific or assigned wait staff for tables, we all share the responsibilityâ. At this point, I recognized that customer service is not a principal point of the establishment and responded to her statement by indicating that her tone and the fact that she indicated serving is shared responsibility highlights a larger organizational issue and/or policy because multiple servers did not acknowledge our table. At this point, Ella became quiet, and I stated that I had done my part by alerting her of the issue and what she did with the information was her choice, however, I would follow up with corporate and leave a review-hence this review! I believe choice is important and everyone has the right to feel and believe whatever theyâd like and provide service to a target audience and/or demographic of their choice, if applicableâin the same vein, Iâd like to make a choice not to visit a restaurant that does not have processes in place to ensure customer service and allows staff to provide not only subpar service, but service at their leisure. Had I known, I would have made the choice not to visit the establishment. I am sharing my experience to provide others with information in order to choose where to dine and spend their money. After thought, I chose not to reach out to corporate given Ellaâs response to my alerting her of the experience. Managers typically follow the directive(s) of executive leadership and as such I didnât want to expend anymore energy on this unpleasant experience. I hope this helps and that whomever reading this review has a fab remainder of the day! On a good note, we ended up having brunch at Homegrown and it was stellar and rounded the evening with dinner at the amazing Theoâsâtwo restaurants that I...
Read moreFYI: They do not accept reservations, even though it allows you to online. I made a reservation for my sisters and I for a birthday brunch. Got a text and email confirmation. Walked in and they said they donât accept/honor reservations. Thankfully we were there before the rush and were still able to be seated. Good things: good food, decent portions, and fun decor. Iâm giving 2 stars because service was not great. It took awhile to get our orders taken and multiple times we were trying to get our servers attention. We were there for an hour and 15 min and finishing up our mimosas when we were asked to move along because they had a wait and needed to seat other groups! If you are going to charge a 22% tip I expect better service and not to be treated as an inconvenience. Probably wonât be back, because it was an uncomfortable...
Read moreIf you enjoy personalized service with phenomenal food (the apple pie and sinful pancakes are a must!!) and drinks (fresh squeezed OJ mimosas), then this is the place for you. If you arenât a proclaimed or closet foodie, maybe you donât get the personalized nuances and amazingness that you are in store for. Maybe itâs the mimosas that were almost too good to walk away from (just made my flight), but the server/bartender, whom I cannot remember her name (my fault not hers), is the icing on the cake that this restaurant offers. It creates a family and friends atmosphere with perfect strangers (just ask Derek who sat between Erick and I, 3 complete stranger who all shared food sitting at the bar). An amazing atmosphere, with phenomenal food, and great drinks!! Absolutely a must and will be a repeat the next time Iâm...
