I want to start out by saying that I have been to this venue countless times for many amazing shows that have never disappointed me. It pains me to write this review, but this was absolutely uncalled for. One of the members of security verbally berated myself and a friend over taking a couple of selfies with the flash. I wish I was making this up. There were no signs posted saying “no flash photography”, and we were respectful enough to make sure it was just the two of us in the frame. We were not belligerent or combative, but immediately when he came up to us while we were seated, he shouted, “Give me your phone!” We calmly refused and were so shocked at the aggressive behavior, and he said, “You don’t think I can’t kick y’all outta here? Take one more picture, and I’m grabbing your phone!” We calmly apologized and stated we had seen several people taking photos with the flash throughout the entirety of the show, to which he said, “You don’t think I’ve gotten on to them too?”
…The truth is, no, we hadn’t seen anybody else be reprimanded for taking multiple Snapchat selfies with the flash on. We take 2-3 pictures, and immediately, we’re targeted by a security officer…Again, you can’t make this up.
Regardless, he walked away, and we got up to speak to guest services to report the behavior. The security guards at the guest services tent were appalled by this behavior from him and verified that he was an employee wearing a red Walmart Amp security shirt. We confirmed that this was the case, and thankfully, they believed us and swore to make it right. They offered us closer seats, which we had initially turned down. It felt like more of a consolation prize than anything, but they used their walkie talkies to see if they could get the right security officer and handle the situation themselves. I sincerely hope this never happens to anyone else, as it ruined our night, as much as we wanted to continue enjoying the show.
This would’ve been a one star review, but the angels at the guest services tent tonight were very much concerned and upset about what we had been exposed to by a fellow employee. I have been to dozens of concerts here over the years, and not once have I ever felt unsafe or uncomfortable, even at sold out shows. This was the worst concert experience I have ever had, and both myself and my friend did not feel safe. I hope that justice is served, and that this never happens to anyone else who is just trying to enjoy a show. I would be willing to affect a refund on tickets, an option that was not offered by guest services (though I’m sure they may not have been able to authorize a refund.)
To the admin and hiring of Walmart Amp, please conduct a better vetting process for your security officers. This was absolutely inappropriate, and I know the rest of your staff would hate to be associated with that kind...
Read moreMy sister and I got pit tickets for a show and we really wanted front row so we bought fast track and got to the venue 2 and a half hours before gates opened. When we arrived at the venue we were within the first 20 in the fast track line so we had high hopes for front row. They allowed fast track to get in the lines to go through the metal detectors and there were 8 or 9 lines open. My sister and I go all the way to line 1 and we have 1 person infront of us. About 12 minutes before gates were supposed to open they were saying that they were ready and they were probably gonna open gates early. 10 minutes till gates were supposed to open they look at our line and go “we don’t have a battery yet for this metal detector so everyone in line 1 will need to find another line so we can open gates.” Keep in mind they are trying to open gates 10 minutes early. By this time fast track had gotten all lined up so then they allowed non fast track people to get in line. So everyone in line 1 was expected to find a line behind non fast track purchasers. Thankfully a guy in the line next to us heard everyone complaining about us being fast track and he said he was not fast track and we could all get in front of him. Within 2 minutes of them moving us out of line 1, they had a battery hooked up and ready to go for the metal detector which means that it was still about 5 minutes till gates were originally supposed to open. At that point they opened up line 1 again but all of us fast track that was pushed to line 2 couldn’t get out which means that non fast track purchasers got front of line 1. If all the lines were not ready to be opened then they should not of been trying to open gates 10 minutes early. I would of understood moving everyone from line 1, if it was gonna take a while and delay gates being opened on time but if it only took 2 minutes to get a battery then why move the line? This was very poor planning and it resulted in us not getting front row and being placed behind people in pit that we didn’t even see in the line behind us. Walmart amp needs to learn to better communicate between employees and making sure everything is set up and ready to go before allowing lines to...
Read moreThe venue is freaking spectacular. PROS: Ticket price was amazing, seated sections are a great view, security lines ran smoothly and efficiently, parking attendants were great with direction and very kind, PLENTY of free parking which was easily accessible, had a alcohol tent called “The Freezer” which was liquor sales only and you didn't have to wait in line with people ordering food which made it a in and out process, bathrooms were very clean. Sound was the best ive heard and ive been to many concerts. Screens are high quality and huge! October in Arkansas was spectacular weather you cant beat it. You could hear Kehlani doing sound check if you were in nearby pinnacle hills earlier in the day, pretty cool. CONS: Seated areas specifically 107 are very tight and close to a neighbor. Those seats are not meant for two plus sized people to sit next to each other. Bless his heart but I got seated next to a rather “fluffy” and “hippy” young guy and lets just say his hips and thighs were completely brushed up against me while we were seated. You will be miserable if you get a middle seat. Thank God we were able to get up and move around once the show starts. Next time i personally would only buy the seats on the front or back row of the seated sections if you like space, Otherwise its way too close quarters. Also the seated areas didn't seem to have much security and ushers monitoring just the pit. I got seated next to a rowdy group and there was no attendant near our section the entire time and they knew it. Kind of felt unsafe if a serious matter had occurred we would had to walk up to find someone near the lawn area. Kudos to the Walton family they are bringing quality music artists to that area and it was a night i’ll never forget. ❤️❤️...
