I wanted to love it… I really did. I’ve been watching TikTok’s of this place for a few weeks and was so excited to go. We love Paris and the thing we miss most are the yummy pastries so this place opening in Arkansas was so exciting. The atmosphere is great… lovely venue and plenty of outside seating. The decor does remind me of the patisseries in France with the delicate colors and plenty of sunlight. The food, however, really lets it all down. I was prepared to overpay for everything bc I was convinced the quality would be worth it, but it just wasn’t. The pastries - while pretty - were just mid. The croissants were relying way too much on the filling - which there wasn’t much of - and the dough wasn’t buttery or flaky. The outside layer was thin, but inside it was like the canned croissants from the grocery store - layers were too thick and doughy. The ham was sliced too thick in the ham and cheese croissant and there just wasn’t much flavor. Bentonville Bakery did a much better version back in the day IYKYK. (And it wasn’t $10!!). We snagged a baguette on the way out to have with our soup at dinner and again - nothing special. Bout the same as one you’d get from Trader Joe’s. The service was really good and everybody was friendly. We went during a lull and didn’t have to wait too long so that was nice. All in all it just isn’t worth the price when can get the same quality of pastries at some of the grocery stores and coffee shops around town for less. If you don’t mind that, it’s worth a visit to soak up the decor and have a...
Read moreI was excited to see this place open up in Rogers. Here was my first experience. First off, your coffee espresso or whatever you are using is awful, it needs to go. Check pressure and temperature - when I say it's awful, I mean the worst I have ever had. For a point of reference, Starbucks is better, and they are awful also. You should consider using an Italian method for making your coffee products and maybe switch to Italian beans for a more authentic and quality experience. They should also follow the methods of European coffee design and serve it slightly cooler than the USA to reduce the bitterness. If you are using Onyx coffee, start over. Try a Lavazza 5/10 or higher. The prices on the drinks are too high and not reasonable vs quality under any situation.
The baguette sandwich was just okay - nothing special. The cheese turned to oil and was completely unidentifiable, which was quite off-putting and made the sandwich difficult to enjoy.
That being said, the atmosphere is the one thing you completely hit the target on, but a cafe such as this should have better pricing, better and quicker service. I will try back in a few months. If you take anything I say here as gospel, change your...
Read moreMy family is French-American, and we travel frequently between our home in Bentonville and my wife's family in France. We were very excited to hear about Un Deux Trois opening.
We visited on a Saturday morning around 8:00 AM. There was a long line and the cafe was packed, which we understood was due to its popularity. We appreciated that while we waited, staff came out with samples of macaroons and special beverages.
The cafe itself is clean and has a great atmosphere. French music plays in the background, and there is plenty of seating. The interior, with its pastries displayed in a glass case, feels very much like a Parisian cafe. The customer service was also excellent.
We ordered almost all of the pastries and shared them. The portions are much larger than what you would typically find in France. While the price point was a bit high for a family of five ($50), we overall enjoyed our visit. The main reason for the three star review is the limited selection and the price. If neither of those are important to you, then you'll love it.
My favorite item was the ham and butter sandwich. The baguette was fantastic, and I hope they will sell them individually...
