I began classes as I purchased a 3 month pass since the end of February 2020, as I was looking for a whole body (easy on the body) workout. I was recovering from major surgery affecting my breasts and abdomen and took a free class in person and was able to take in person classes for a few weeks before studios were shut down. The instructors quickly pivoted to Zoom, and I have been able to take Zoom classes usually at 10 am every day class is in session. The other time for class is 6 pm and a few nights have 7:30 pm classes. I love having the accountability of doing class with my instructors, and I have enjoyed over the past 20 months a variety of instructors/ Master trainers. Currently there are options for in person classes, but I still prefer attending my Zoom which means you can take class from anywhere. I have learned to be more present in the moment, learning how to breath to relax, to meditate while focusing on working different parts of my body. I am learning Korean style Taichi, and feel that these classes have helped me stay calm and anxiety free during the pandemic. The classes have been my life saver during these past 20 months. Currently, Master Chris at the Rolling Hills Center is an excellent instructor of all different kinds of classes. Occasionally it's nice to have Master Shim or Amy teach classes as well for variety. Also, in lieu of going to the gym, Master Chris has offered 3 classes per month on strength and mobility which I have taken continuously since August 2020, and the early bird price is very reasonable for three 1.5 hour classes on Thursday evenings. As with anything new, you need to try it for at least 3 months to really get the right feel. And that is assuming regular class attendance. I am thankful for being able to find something to help me physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally as I learn to manage getting to know my body and keep it moving with energy...
   Read moreI was not very active for many years and I started feeling my joints were in pain, never limber and I was feeling pretty bad, I was starting some activities but not being constant! some of those times because the environment was not good and sometimes because my joints were killing me (then Dr diagnosed me with Arthritis! GRRR...) One day about 4 months ago I decided to go to ask info of the body & Brain Yoga center here in Rolling Hills Estates, got signed up for 1 month to see if it was cool for me. After the first class I started feeling good! (not magic, but i was feeling relaxed, relieved and very interested in the whole system and values of this place) I signed for the year right away! Going to the class is the highlight of my day, i have lost weight, i feel better, little bit more limber and I feel more focused... The environment is very nice, the instructors are the best. ^^ It has done a huge difference in my health I have told everyone I know that they should try it, I even brought all my family to try one class with me when they were visiting me :) When I can't go to class, I can still do the exercises at home and is just like giving a break to my body, it just feels great!    Read moreThe first few steps i took arriving at this yoga center i already felt the great energy around me. Peaceful, beautiful, calming are all words that describe how i feel here. I began this blissful journey with a class called energy movement, from that point on i felt a huge connection with my body a feeling that was never felt before. When the workshop was over i spoke to one of the masters and said im willing to pay for the membership no matter how much it is. I know my life has changed tremendously from joining this center i have no worry, i have no fear, i have no anxiety from any of my life challenges. I have grown so much in these past few months : mentally physically and spiritually. After attending a finding true self workshop at one of the other centers i didnt realize how much my soul was hurt i always thought i was okay.
