I came here with my son because Pancake House, our go to breakfast restaurant, was closed on Tuesday. We arrived around 9 am and it was not busy. We waited to be seated for 10 mins while the server chatted away as we watched, looking over at us several times, yet, oblivious that we wanted to be seated. Finally, he came over and seated us with no welcome or hospitality, whatsoever. We were offered a menu and coffee right away. It was right after that I was taken back when he nonchalantly tosses a card down with a barcode, pointing at it, asking I scan it and leave him a good review. I was taken back, shocked at the level of entitlement this server felt he was owed. I completely ignored it and waited to order our food. I ordered a waffle with strawberries for my son, and an omelet with ham and gruyere. I can only say both dishes were completely tasteless. The waffle was not crispy at all, and tasted like it came out of a microwave. The omelet was totally under seasoned. It, too, tasted like it was prepared in a microwave. We left totally underwhelmed. My son asked to go to McDonald's after. It's unfortunate that this struggling mall cannot attract...
Read moreHad brunch here for my first time this past weekend and I was really impressed. They have multiple locations around the South Bay, but I chose this RPV one to start. Inside is very large and has two different dining room areas, one could be made into a private dining area I’m sure. Our server was extremely polite and really made the meal a great experience. Parking is very easy because it’s attached to a mall so there are plenty of free spaces although a bit of a walk to get to the restaurant.
The menu is really large and filled with all sorts of California classics so it was a challenge choosing what I wanted to order. We started off with a Cinnamon Roll and thought it was really good. It was not the traditional flaky Cinnamon Roll, but still had great flavor. For my meal I decided to go closer to the lunch side of things by ordering the Carne Asada and Eggs. It was absolutely fabulous, and I already want to order it again. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the rice and guacamole side was very large which I was a fan of. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone searching for a great breakfast spot and I plan to be back many times...
Read moreThe customer service today was rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. Just horrible. I was obviously not yet finished with my breakfast and left to take a quick trip to the restroom to wash my hands. (To wash off maple syrup). I was gone from my table literally for less than a minute. In that minute they completely cleaned, emptied, and bussed off my table including a removing a full cup of coffee and a full glass of iced tea that I hadn't even touched. They obviously knew I wasn't finished and still in the restaurant because in that same minute they also placed my check on the table. So I returned to a completely empty table other than my check. Who cleans and empties off a table before the customer is finished - without at least checking with them first? The restaurant was half empty, and no one was waiting for a table - so there was absolutely no reason to rush me off and clear off my table when they must have known I wasn't finished. To top it off, while I was paying my check and complaining to the server, a rude blond female employee who was behind the cashier's desk was smirking at me and laughing...
