Harlyne J. Norris Pavilion — Attraction in Rolling Hills Estates

Unreasonable and insensitive during COVID. I booked HJN for our wedding in May 2020. During the lockdown I was given the option to rebook within 6 months of my original date or we would forfeit our $1000 deposit. Given half of the guests were in Europe and travel restrictions only started easing up in late 2021 it was impossible for us to reschedule our entire wedding within the very restrictive and short timeframe. In short HJN profited $1000 on a situation that was beyond our control but was totally within theirs, if HJN management had some empathy towards its customers.

I think the management needs to revisit their decision making and gear it more towards their customers and less on trying to enforce insensitive contract clauses during the height of the pandemic! DO NOT BOOK if you want to be valued and treated fairly as a customer. There are plenty of other venues in LA that are great and accommodating...

Celebrated my brothers beautiful wedding here. It was such a great time!! Awesome little place to have a wedding. Spacious but not overly huge so it still felt cozy & close to all our loved ones. Such a heartwarming and fun time! I enjoyed every minute of it. I'm glad they chose this place, it was better than I even expected! They showcased their names on the front of the building presenting the two in marriage so that was super cool too! A nice little dancefloor, there was plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate everyone. Two nice patio areas, there was an awesome bar with bartender free drinks (so much fun!), bathrooms were big and clean, overall this place was awesome!! Mediocre venue. Mediocre service. Rude. Our party was neither rowdy nor belligerent, to the venue nor the staff, and we're treated like criminals at the time of closing. We were TOLD to leave not asked, and why, because they "don't care"; their words, not mine. The same goes for the management, if you could call it that. Very single sided, no customer service. Told us to take our complaints to their superiors, with no sense of closure. Third world staff with third world hospitality. Next wedding you're better off at Jack in the Box...
