So, this might be lengthy.. but this review should hit every single point on why you would want to do business with Big Mattress Outlet in Rome, GA. After Christmas, my husband and I set out to find a new mattress. We knew exactly where we were going. We arrived to find that that particular store was closed and hadn't updated their Google hours for that particular day. It lead us to pulling over and googling other mattress stores in the area. We came across Big Mattress Outlet on Google and being a Brand Manager of a National/International Brand, I was SHOCKED to find this store has 5-star reviews (unheard of). I showed my husband (He didn't care. He just wanted me to make a decision and get on with it). However, because of all their amazing reviews, I entered the store without a care in the world, eager to find out why and how they had earned 5-stars and Best of Rome in the Mattress category, a number of years in a row. It wasn't long after we entered that we encountered Brady and understood completely why this store was top-rated. He was so informative and showed us exactly the kind of mattresses we were looking for. He touched on every single important aspect. He also allowed my husband and I the space and alone time to test and discuss and didn't stay right under our feet, which was most appreciated. We decided to go with a Stearns and Foster Estate Plush PT (King). I was delighted to find that their price was 50% off the MSRP for this mattress set. Our first night sleeping in our new bed: I have never in all my life slept so good! I questioned taking a personal day from work thr following morning so that I could just stay in the bed for the whole day (We were sleep number owners for years and I only wish we had visited this store much sooner)! Additionally, Big Mattress Outlet is a retailer for CarbonCool OmniPhase! We have the Sleep Tite Five 5ided Mattress Protector and it's like none other. Once we laid on the OmniPhase pillows in the store, we couldn't get them off our minds and we quickly returned to purchase a couple. Their prices on these are also amazing, especially in comparison for what all the online stores are selling them for. They're for sale at twice the price online! Again, they're an outlet. However, their mattresses are TOP OF THE LINE! I also had the joy of meeting Kelly, the owner of Big Mattress Outlet. She and Brady are such a joy to do business with. From the moment you walk in the door, you will be treated as if they've known you your entire life and you'll leave with THE MATTRESS SET OF YOUR DREAMS, FOR HALF THE PRICE of ANYWHERE ELSE! That's a fact!!!!! Don't hesitate to do business with these amazing people. It's a rarity to find a family-owned, small business, to this caliber. We are customers for life. Mattress hunting is stressful. There's so many brands, types, comfort levels, and rarely any standardization across the board. Research can only get you so far, and then you have to go into a store to look and feel what they feel like. Sometimes, this can feel like the most stressful part. We drove into town and made stops at various mattress stores along our trek. After the first couple, I was even more stressed because the salesman at Mattress Firm basically tried to force me to buy the mattress, even after I told him we needed time to think and discuss. He goes, "What is there to think about? What's stopping you from buying this mattress right now?" In all honesty, it was him. His pushiness made me not want to purchase that mattress because I was feeling pressured to do so.

So, we finally escaped his grasped and headed back to our car. A little ways down the road, we stopped in at our ultimate destination, "Big Mattress Outlet". A little more stressed and hesitant after Mattress Firm, we cautiously entered the store. Immediately, we were warmly greeted and welcomed. We explained what we were looking for and the hunt was on.

But the thing is, it didn't feel like a hunt. It felt like friends talking about beds. There was laughter, no pressure, and Joe listened to what I was saying about what I wanted. He and Brady even carried a bed out and set it up for me to try in case I preferred that style more. He chatted with us while I walked back and forth between two mattresses that I couldn't decide between.

Not only did I feel like I made the right choice in my mattress, but I felt like I made the right choice in selecting which business to support. Went on Saturday afternoon looking for Queen mattress for guest bedroom & we were fortunate to be assisted by the Owner of the store, Mr. Joe Charles, who was sincerely incredibly patient, kind, never the least bit irritated by our questions or budget, and just treated us like we were an old close acquaintence who had come in to visit himself & his wife. He explained how & where they obtained their inventory, & was the most genuinely humble, old school gentleman you could ever meet (even if he & his spouse were 20 yrs my junior...). We tried approx 5 mattresses based on the type we were searching for, and narrowed it down to 2 models before we left that day. They had inner spring coil mattress, foam layered, hybrid, and nearly every mattress brand I have seen in their store. They also had sheet sets and other accessories, but I really wasn't paying much attention to those, so I feel sure I have missed many of their product selection. But their local express delivery is only $39, which beats all their competitors by a LOT. I Recommend the Big Mattress Outlet if you're in the market needing a mattress. You won't regret it.
