Top Hat Formal Wear — Local services in Rome

I found a dress I liked and purchased it. I was given an appointment by the owner to come back and bring the dress to be measured for alterations (it needed a lot) so I waited 3 weeks to go back for my given appointment time. The owner wrote it down on one of their cards so I had it correct. I picked up both my daughter's early that morning and headed to Rome (I live in Dallas) I called them to tell them I was going to be a few minutes late and the lady (very sweet) that answered the phone said "well I don't know what happened but you are down for a bridal appointment not a fitting. I said well I have had the dress for weeks and my appointment is to come in today (on a Monday) to be measured for alterations. She said well Pam isn't here and won't be back until Thursday and no one else can do that for you. So I just said okay and hung up. The lady called me back and left a message to call her back and reschedule the appointment. I did not call back because I wanted to see if the owner would call me when she got back and own up to her mistake and make it right. She did not, I never heard a word from her. This was the WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! experience I have ever had...I went with a friend of mine that is getting married in the spring when we walked in we were not greeted with a hello or a welcome or anything it was just a very rude sigh and a what can i help you with? to which we replied that she was looking for a wedding dress for her wedding in the spring the woman rolled her eyes and in the rudest tone possible said OOOOOKAAAYYY... and turned around and walked to the desk and proceeded to sit there...my friend and I looked around for about 30 mins the woman never asked to help us at all and every time one of us headed towards her she disappeared it was the worst costumer service either of us have received and needless to say neither us or any of our contacts will step foot in that store again!!!! on a happier note we did however venture to Perfect Dress of Rome the people there were very pleasant and helpful we will be doing business...

Not too often I'd hand out a 5 Star review, but this place saved my best friend's wedding. Day of the event we realized the other shop who had supplied our suits completely screwed the proverbial pooch. Zippers on pants didn't work, jackets didn't fit, my "pants" were more like capris. 6 hours before the event, after a frantic and desperate trip to Kohls and Old Navy, we serendipitously decided to call Top Hat. Little did we know our panic would soon be alleviated when they were able to get all of us measured, fitted and looking swell in 40 minutes flat. Pam and Molly were absolutely the best and Molly even went out of her way to let us drop off the suits when the place was closed. Wedding turned out perfectly, and the last minute near-disaster story even made for a great addition to the best man speech. I digress, I don't want to ramble here, but can't thank these good...
