River Rock Spa — Local services in Roseburg

So I get my nails done here from time to time (at least 12+ times a year) and I’ve only ever had good experiences, except this last one(hence the four stars it would have been a five till today.) It’s so nice and calming here. I went with two friends and they have this one area with a big chandelier that cycles water for relaxing and such. Me and my friends were sitting in this room having a drink and chatting having a blast till this man employee walked in and said that we were being to loud that he was trying to massage people and we just needed to be quiet or leave. Found that extremely infuriating because we were mostly taking in hushed whispers or just talking normally. No yelling or laughing as we were actually having a heart to heart conversation. Just rudely interrupted this moment we were having relieving pressure and he absolutely ruined it. I paid to be there just like the other people did for the massage but they were in a room that was across a hallway so there was not only a wall in between us but then on top of that they were in a room with doors. There’s no way they were hearing us at all unless this company has the cheapest walls with no insulation in between, they didn’t have their door shut, or this guy just needs to have a reality checked. Just ruined my time entirely. (Also for the record if you’ve never been here there are NO signs saying not to speak or to be quiet ANYWHERE. This area is the center of two bathrooms and then about 10-15 rooms with different spa features like pools and saunas. It also has a coffee and water station for everyone in the spa employees and all so there is always tons of people walking in and out of this room being actually loud. So I think this employee was 100% in the wrong here.) I am just a little annoyed that this used to be my stress free happy place, but now every time I go there I’m am going to think of this one guy and I hope I don’t...

My husband and I had our first couples massage ever today! It was sooo good! Reva was absolutely amazing for my massage. I wish I could have spent the whole day on the massage table. The table is heated. It made me feel so cozy even though I’m a constant hot flash it felt soo good to lay on the warm table. A couple things I didn’t find online I’ll share for others who are looking for the answers :)

They actually do not stay in the room while you unrobe and get on the bed. You are covered the whole time not exposed. My husband left and said it wasn’t weird at all like I thought for a message your covered up the whole time lol Make sure you bring a bathing suit for the soak after because you will be in love with that soak in the mineral tub after. I wore my sandals but they do have some for you as well. They give you a nice comfy robe to wear. You go into the locker room which is adorable dress down and prepare for relaxation. Don’t worry if you forget your hair tie at home they have some available:) they have some water, coffee, and tea available for you however the mimosas and such are $8. I am very pleased with how our massages went and how we felt leaving. Oh and after when I went to get dressed there were multiple lotions and body oils available to try. I left smelling and feeling so fresh and good. Definitely have plans to be back eventually as everything in life is costly. But do yourself a favor and do the longer massage option you will feel sad when it ends because you didn’t pay the extra for that extra time. Couples Massage preceded by a dip in the mineral pool, shower h struggling to get the heavy faux fur lined robe on my damp body due to neck and shoulder issues. Massage was EXCELLENT; Valerie recognized I would not find the scheduled hot stone Massage comfortable, switched to Swedish and foot reflexology. I was I'm such pain going in and she worked out knots in my neck and shoulders (previously, Injections at a pain clinic were the "cure"). Come to find out, I was starting to pass a kidney stone which was causing much of my intermittent suffering! Next time, we will arrive 2 hours before our appointment so as not to feel rushed as we enjoy the mineral pool, sauna and shower. We would have spent more time relaxing before and after with strawberry water and tea in the dimly lit lounge, complete with a water feature reminiscent of a...
