I visited Lee’s nail salon for the first time Saturday (6/11) and it was nothing short of a amazing experience.
Scheduling: Honestly, I had to call about 4 separate times before someone answered the phone so I could schedule the appointment. However, the person who answered (I believe Jen) was super sweet and I could hear in the background that they were super busy- so I could understand why they wouldn’t answer. Despite limited times, they were able to fit me in on Saturday evening. I’m sure if I had called much earlier in advance, more times would have been open.
In-Salon Experience: The salon is easy to spot on W. Westfield avenue, with a convenient alley parking lot (parallel parking) and multiple spots open for salon patrons. The salon itself is on small but roomy, well-lit and very clean. I arrived a few minutes prior to my appointment and was shocked by the huge selection of gel polishes available. Every color imaginable was in the bucket. My appointment started a few minutes (maybe 3) late, and I started with a gel pedicure. Sydney did my pedicure and did a FABULOUS JOB. I should’ve taken before and afters, but she was able to get my nails looking so nice and did such a nice job with trimming the cuticle. She was also very friendly, nice, and attentive. After my pedicure I waited maybe 5 minutes before Lee did my nails. I showed him a picture, told him the color, and he gave me exactly what I wanted. He was also very attentive and you can tell he takes pride in his work. He double checks everything with you throughout the entire process and makes sure that you’re satisfied. At first he was quiet (which I don’t mind) but towards the end we chatted about how I found the salon, where I was from, and I was surprised that he even took the time to ask my name. That’s a very small thing, but makes the experience personal and further emphasizes how much they care about customer service. Lee also showed me some designs he did that they hadn’t posted on social media. Let me tell you, the work is amazing!! The nail techs are VERY talented and do some amazing work.
Price: My gel pedicure and acrylic set with gel came out to 100$ even and I added a 20$ tip. It was my first time getting acrylics, but I think it’s a fair price for the quality of work and service. Side note: They only take cash tips. You can also pay with card but only Visa or Mastercard.
In summation, I’d go here again. I’d actually become a regular here. I’d even stick to the same appointment time. For the price, service, location, and quality, it cannot be beat and I don’t see myself switching salons anytime soon. It’s a bit of a drive, but so worth the...
Read moreLeaving a review bc I have spent 2 years trying to find a consistent nail salon. This one isn't it. The prices are ok but 1) the quality of products are NOT good. I got an LCN fill-in but it started chipping a week later. This has never happened before. I don't wash dishes by hand and nothing in my routine has changed. When I went back to my normal place, they laughed about how bad a job was done. It was embarrassing. I am trying to visit all the salons to find the best place. Choosing a color, yikes, a dirty basket with random colors (no brands) was handed to me and then I had to place it on the floor bc no one was paying attention to me. 2) It was very unclean. Salons should feel clean and calming. I also spent my entire manicure listening to who I think is an owner yelling at a travel agency and demanding a refund. I left more stressed.
I don't like leaving bad reviews like this but for the life of me, I can't understand why it has...
Read moreThey had me wait forty min after saying they take walk ins then I waited with my hands in acetone for50 min as they ignored me. I recommend you go somewhere more respectful of your time
Edit: I called ahead and they told me to go ahead and come in - removal doesn’t require an appointment and people will help me as time goes. They literally ignored me when I said I had been sitting in acetone for almost an hour and no one is helping me. I almost walked out with horrid textured nails. If you do not have the staff or time to treat people with respect do not tell them to come to your establishment to take their money for subpar services. People should not be treated this way. There are many salons who could have accommodated the service I needed- I came to yours because you said it was fine to on the phone and when I came I lost 2 hours of my life on a 20...
