Great quality. The tiny location has a clean atmosphere. Menu prices are a tad high (by $1-3) compared to the east coast average. I wouldn't label this place as a classic "authentic" Mexican eatery. It's more of an evolved tex-mex eatery. In some respect, that might be a good thing in certain contexts. Many American locals are not ready for real Mexican cuisine and/or believe Mexican foods should taste a certain way. You know, the Americanized lifelong Taco Bell customer who one day eats a real Mexican taco and goes 'yuck!', exclaiming "this doesn't taste like Taco Bell's factory salsa pack nor does it have a glob of sour cream."
The place offers things to locals which isn't a Mexican staple. For example, you can get a kale green fresh squeezed juice. The windows advertise they are vegan-friendly and offer vegan dishes. This seems to be a business move to capitalize off locals. Not a bad thing, simply an observation. It appears the place has exchanged owners a few times, leading to the revamping of menu items. The cashier/hostess appears to also do the cooking and other labor. This led to a slightly abnormal wait time for food. I don't recommend walking in to pickup....
Read moreI went to this place with my friends not really knowing what to expect but when ordering the food and just sitting down, we had enough time to order and just talk before the waiter came to order our food. The food itself was hot and tasted fresh. If you're thinking of coming, come with a good appetite because this food is very mouth-watering. I ordered the Birra tocos, the torta, a horchata, a torta, and many more, and it's safe to say that those options were good. Come in mind when coming depending on what you get the food will take some time but it is worth it. I will, however, point out that the horchata was very refreshing, and the spices were at the bottom, just like how it usually is when made homemade. The birra sauce that came with the taco tasted a bit water down, but I did enjoy eating it with tacos and was thinking about bringing it home. The waiter who was serving us was very nice and patient and dispute how loud me and my friends were he didn't have a problem with us. The price for the food was affordable, which I was pretty happy about. I am coming again just to enjoy the many more options...
Read moreSmall Mexican restaurant with a nice clean atmosphere. As soon as I walked in the young lady in the front acknowledge me,even though I was the only one inside except for the 3 group of people sitting. I order the shrimp tacos for 12 dollars with minimal toppings. I believe if you want extra toppings it cost more. The tacos were good nothing too crazyand the sauce on the sides were good too. I would recommend to try at least once if you looking for shrimp tacos and might go back again...
