I almost never write a review and while I’m writing this one several weeks after my experience at this salon I just knew I had to. I can not express how amazing this salon is. First let me start with my first encounter. I needed a eyebrow threading place close by so took a chance with here. I have never thought eyebrows could be “beautiful” but sure enough mine most certainly were after they got done. Then, after my mom got her hair done and it totally transforming her into a sexy confident woman again I figured I’d take a chance myself with something bigger than eyebrows.
I went in nervous as heck. My hair was badly damaged from bad previous experiences with half skilled stylist. But I wanted blonde, I wanted bold, I wanted different. Most stylist would of strayed away from what I was asking for. They’d tell me they couldn’t do it or that my hair couldn’t take it and then convince me to do something else that I didn’t necessarily want or tell me it’d take several visits to even come close. So when I showed my wishful picture it was both exciting and nerve wracking when not once did she tell me i couldn’t have that, and not in a few visits but right then. Now, she probably told me at least 15x how bad of condition my hair was in but still kept going. So I was fully prepared to accept that the final reveal would just not be what I wanted but at least she did the best she could. Fast forward a couple hours the big reveal... she turned my chair around and tears immediately streamed down my face. I didn’t recognize who I saw in the mirror... this girl was beaming and beautiful. After recently going through a bad break up I had lost myself for a long time... this salon gave me the push to find my strength, confidence and worth again. The girl that sat in that chair deserved to be happy. That girl was me. While it’s just hair to some, to go so long with fighting for pretty, healthy, flowing hair and never having it, this was everything. Might seem exaggerated but a true miracle was performed that day and I have no doubt nobody could of done what they did for me that day. I am...
Read moreLet me start off by saying that the FIRST time I went to this salon I was extremely happy with the kindness, and quality of the cut and color. With that being said, On Saturday I went to for cut and color... I left unhappy but put on a kind face thinking "it must just be me.. maybe I am just getting older and a day at the salon doesn't make me beautiful anymore." I even tipped although when I got home there was no excitement to have my husband walk through the door... my hair looked horrible. The color was too red and even pinkish at the scalp... it was supposed to be a chocolate brown. She made several attempts at the hairstyle I showed her, but it just never got there. After seeing my hair get thinner and thinner and no more near the hairstyle I wanted, I told her it was fine it was probably just me. I truly just wanted her to stop cutting my hair, so I could leave. My appt was at 2 pm and she began my hair at 3:05. The salon was full of client after client needing threading and although there was another employee there Asifa was the only one working until about 2:45. I arrived early and did not mind waiting until my appt time but I waited much longer than I think is acceptable. I made several comments about Asifa having a break of some sort, as I watched her work non-stop only taking one water break in a 4 hr period. I feel like the first time I went she was not as busy (being a new salon) and was able to think more clearly and take her time. I feel she is overbooked and for whatever reason chooses to do 90% of the appts herself. She is the owner so I am certain it is a business decision, but quantity does not equal quality and at the expense of losing customers... is it worth it? I was able to go to SH Salon in the Brazos Town Center this morning and Alex fixed everything! Asifa is a very sweet person... I just feel she is stretching herself too thin. I...
Read moreREAD THIS BEFORE YOU TRY THIS PLACE!!!!!!! I had an horrible experience here. Firstly, I had an appointment even then I waited for good 25-30 mins for my facial. Then whats the point of getting an advanced booking if you make customer wait 30mins. Secondly, that lady started my facial wearing freaking hard plastic gloves which are used in kitchen. She rubbed my skin so hard that after the first step my skin started burning crazy and when I told her she said its okay it will happen and I don’t see any burning on your face like what do you mean how can you see if I’m having that burning and too tingly feeling. I asked her to stop my facial as I have eczema and my skin is super sensitive but she continued maybe just to get full payment, whatever! Then the worst part she started moving a dirty device on my face without caring my hair moving all over my face and in the end my hair got into that machine and SHE PULLED MY HAIR SOOOOOO BAD!!!!! like wth!!!!!!!!!!!! When she was done with my facial and I was ready to pay then she asked me to fill the waiver form just to save herself for what she did to me. Like seriously!!!!!!
And they got radio going on in loud volume in their facial room. She keeps leaving the facial room I guess for getting facial stuff or what and wearing those gloves all the time touching door knob and everything and using it on my face too.
So unprofessional, unsafe and horrible place to go. Using cheap products high in fragrance smells like fabuloso. My advice is all these things really matters if you want regular customers.
A really really...
