Outstanding Service! Delicious Food!
Atmosphere: Meticulously clean! Store front, beautiful chalk board sign ( I'm reaching a bit to find stuff to say because it is a basic store front without frills, but what is present looks good). Each table had a large jar of chopsticks. The menu is simple with enough options. The store has a streamlined/miniminal aesthetic!
Service: I was quickly greeted and seated. When I asked for suggestions or explanations, they first checked my taste preferences to provide a good fit. They were deferential as is cultural, and they were ON IT with bussing my table! Never felt hounded! They kept a distance but also an astute eye! Not just one person served me. Whoever saw a need came to my table. Best service ever!
Taste: I had Boba Milk Tea & pork vermecilli (sp?) pictured, and egg rolls. The egg rolls were fresh, crisp, seasoned, and came with cilantro and fish sauce with ginger! Didn't know I needed cilantro with egg rolls. Will always ask for it going forward. The MilkTea was lightly sweet and savory. So delicious! Whiskey colored balls of gelatin are in it. My cultural ignorance found them surprising and of no value added. Some may not like them there. Finally, the vermecilli (sp?) was good. It had light flavors. I would ask for no lettuce next time, but keep the bean sprouts, cucumbers, fish sauce, noodles (of course!), and pork... So everything else! Lol
To be fair... If you are not into spicy food, this is a good choice. The food left me feeling like I ate light. It was not comfort food. Be mindful of that.
Overall: Positive, impressive experience! Will return and bring others! If this review was helpful,...
Read moreWas just in there and the girl working the counter was rude! She gave me a dirty look and acted like I was below her and shouldn’t even comment to her about her attitude!
Will never go back to that place ever!
Let me add after reading the one star reviews it seem I am not the only one that was treated rudely by this young lady or staff.
Let me say after three decades in the Houston region and working with the Vietnamese in Houston it make me question does this restaurant really have what it take to compete with authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Houston off of Bellaire?
My answer is no and I have eaten there before not only once but twice and yesterday I was picking food up for someone else when I was treated with such rude attitude...
A place like that need to fire the staff they have but the young woman is most likely someone family member, so of course they will not fire her and just run future customers off...
After awhile places like that go out of business and they blame the customer while excusing the poor management and staff for ruining their business.
So if you want better Vietnamese food go...
Read moreThe atmosphere is quiet yet open and almost lofty feeling. Brick and wood walls with metal seating we're warmed up by old Edison lights and friendly faces of staff that greeted us as we walked in. Servers were very kind and knowledgeable. Menu was easy to read and had a wide selection of plates, appetizers, soups and drinks. Specials of the day, including meals, drinks and dessert were drawn beautifully on an easily viewed chalkboard. Our order came it quickly; sprout appetizer and two different types of pho (soup). Everything was delicious! I highly recommend the Thai tea and hot Jasmine tea to drink. We ordered the large pho for lunch and couldn't eat it all. Price was median for lunchtime. I will go back and highly recommend it to anyone else wanting to try pho bowls. Most people we saw were between 20-40, and I am unaware of a children's menu. (Although they may have one) The building has plenty of parking, handicap accessible, and a restroom. Take out is...
