Wanted to try this new place and see how they do with dishes that are not offered at the other Chinese takeout (T Jin) place down the street. Looking at the menu they had two things that I enjoy which is Thai green curry and mapo tofu. If this place can do somewhat of a decent job of these dishes outside of Chinatown on Bellaire, they get my vote. Well, they get my vote. The green curry had flavor, creamy base, basil, bamboo shoots and a good amount of heat when requested “to make it spicy”. For people who love real spicy food I would ask to make it extra hot. The mapo tofu was good as well with the soft tofu and the amount of ground pork used. I will say for me to hit all points with these dishes would be the vegetables. I would have liked to see eggplant with the green curry, and remove the peas and carrots from the mapo tofu. However, these are minor gripes. If they do this well with these two dishes then my guess is that the traditional dishes (kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef, etc.) should be as good if not better. Also, the people there are nice and the food was made fast too. I'm glad there is more competition on the block and it is so far so good.

For the longest time I've been going to Sugarland to find my favorite style / flavor palette of Chinese food. However, this all changed when L & A China Cafe came to our little town center! I like the appetizers, the soups, the dishes and of all things they have my Singapore rice noodles. A rare thing to most Asian restaurants. A little off on the timing for a pickup and delivery but worth the wait nonetheless. I would certainly recommend trying this traditionally flavored American Chinese establishment and while you're there, give one of the Singapore rice noodle dishes a try(spicy).

This place deserves way more love. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavor, you can taste the care in every dish. The portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality is top-tier every single time.

The lady who runs the place might come off a little intense at first lol, but don’t take it the wrong way, she just takes pride in her business like everyone els would. She genuinely wants every customer to have the best meal possible. It’s not rude, it’s passion.

If you’re tired of bland takeout or hit-or-miss spots, this is the one. My girlfriend brought me here and every single person says the same thing: “How have I never heard of this place before?”

Support your local spots,...

This was one of the Best Chinese restaurants I have tried. Great prices and large portions. The food is super flavorful. We got the Green Curry Beef, Black Pepper Beef and Scallops, Kung Pao Beef, Sweet and Sour Shrimp, Singapore combo, Fried shrimp appetizer, Cheese puffs appetizer, Hot and Sour soup, and Wonton soup. Everything tasted better than any local Chinese restaurant we have tried. For right now they are carry-out and delivery only. Also the food was fast. All that came out in 10 min. For being their second day open they did an Absolutely Fantastic Job. Definitely will be coming back because there are so many more things our family wants to try. Can't wait to...
