Australian Opals — Local services in Roseville

My girlfriend absolutely loves opals, and had found this business on the internet. One weekend she saw they were having a show at the local mall, so we went to check it out. Both of us were impressed at the selection, and after spending a few hours with John (the owner), we left that day with a pair of beautiful 2.33ct crystal opals for a fair price. We eventually contacted John again, wanting to create a custom engagement ring with one of the stones. When he says he works with a highly-skilled goldsmith, he isn't kidding; it turned out better than I could have ever hoped.

We started with a general idea of a bezel setting with accent stones on either side, with 18K white gold as the metal. He gave some suggestions, and we chose the size and type of accent stones. He had a 3D model made for us, and we gave our feedback, which was then used to create a wax model that we inspected and approved in-person. A couple weeks later, I had the finished product, which came in a small velvet box that's perfect for popping the question. Through the entire process, all our calls or emails were answered within a day, and unless we were asking something that only his goldsmith would know, he could immediately answer any question. Also, if you don't have a jewelry cloth already, I recommend you buy the one he offers.

Lastly, he offers an excellent jewelry protection plan through a third party, which I highly recommend. It gives you lifetime coverage for nearly everything that can happen to a ring, including a damaged...
