SKIP THIS STORE, DO NOT GO HERE.
Both my wife and I have stopped at this location because it is super conveniently located to where we live. (We both love Caribou usually).
Over the last year or so, we noticed a DRASTIC decline in both quality of service and quality of our order. The employees look and sound like they hate their job, which is fine if the quality of the order is on point (you're allowed to hate your job, but at least take pride in it).
Every time we stop, our order is wrong.. the coffees taste like the employees are dumping straight salt into the drinks. Ordered food? I bet you get the wrong item every single time like we do. My wife orders a bagel and ends up getting a microwaved sausage biscuit. How does this happen? Especially when shes the ONLY PERSON AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT. No other person was there, not even in the drive thru, so how does the order come up incorrect?
Every time I order a drink, it's always incorrect. I get the same thing every time. An extra large iced caramel latte. It's not hard to pronounce and remember, yet I always end up with something that is neither iced, nor is caramel, nor is a latte. How are the simple things getting messed up?
Also, can't contact customer service (via customerrelations@cariboucoffee.com) either, sure, they'll give you credit for a free drink on your next order, but the buck stops there, they don't investigate their stores AT ALL. There is NO accountability from corporate, to upper management, to lower store management. Nothing happens, so the store continues to decline.
We're done with this store, never going back. Starbucks costs more, but thats where I'm headed (at least they're friendly and make my orders correctly). Dunkin is cheaper, and also orders are correct.. so there are options. Just stop going to caribou, they no longer care about the customer.
I'm willing to bet I get an automated response "from the owner" telling me to contact "customerrelations@cariboucoffee.com" with some canned response like "we're sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience blah blah blah", without actually reading this review.. which is a high indication that they just don't care, and that they'll only credit our account with another "free drink", just to end up disappointed again.
Just stop going to this store until they start holding the stores...
Read moreI'm from St Louis, mo. The one thing I can say Minnesota has over Missouri is that Minnesotan love coffee. It shows that you have coffee competition up here. I get to reap the benefits of the competition. The seasonal maple boundino is absolutely my favorite. The reason I choose Caribou is I have to drink decaf (boring I know). The way decaffeinated coffee is made in a natural filtering manner versus harsh chemical treatment is by far a much preferred method as it retains a wonderful flavor. The turkey and egg bagel sandwich definitely rounded out my morning. The egg was fluffy and not a rubber ornament added to the sandwich. Most people don't stop and think of their starters in the morning with care, but that the first thing you put in your body. Trust me coming from Missouri you got a good thing going up here. As far as baristas go I've been to over a dozen different locations up here and not one time have a came across poor service. The member rewards are also very substantial usually with a free item after about $40 of purchase. I've also tried so e of the competitors up here I just can't seem to stop coming back to Caribou. Read moreHorrible, horrible, horrible customer service! When this store first opened, it was wonderful. They had great service and fun employees. This has happened several times, however today, due to the issues, is the last time I will visit this store- you have lost my very loyal business. While waiting in line (for 17 minutes, with only 2 cars in front of me)... Finally got to the window (after driving through the GORGE of a pot hole they have had in their drive-thru for over a year now) I gave the attendant my money. I receive my coffee and bagel- 7 minutes later, after watching her chatting with her co-workers, cleaning up the receipts from the register and trying to make change.. I received my change. SEVEN MINUTES! I asked her what the problem was (as she ignored my horn honking).. as she threw my change in my hand, she said "we are having issues" slammed the window shut and smirked at me through the window.
