Their sales reps are slacking on basic kindness. I found the majority of the computer department sales reps to be rude, snide, and very arrogant. The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars as opposed to my initial thought of giving them 1 star is because there was a diamond in the rough. I asked for the name of the ONE person in the computer department who I found to be very kind and helpful. His name is Abhilash. I even asked to speak to management just to inform them of how kind and helpful he was. I have recently bought 2 computers, the Note 20 Ultra phone, an iPad, an external hard drive, a smart TV remote, smart light bulbs, and other items, and out of my experiences during finding and purchasing these items at this one Best Buy store, the ONLY person who was friendly and the ONLY person to even ask me if I needed help was Abhilash. I do have to mention that the greeters at the entrance have always been kind as well, but as for my customer service experience at this Best Buy store, I strongly think that there should be a meeting that reminds the service reps that they are only human beings, just like their customers. The reason I'm writing this is because I am not a computer technology novice, so when I was treated as poorly as I was, it made me wonder how poorly others are treated when they DON'T know anything about computers. During my shopping trips for the computers, I did not let it be known that I knew a lot about computers and their differences. I did not want to come off as that "I know everything" sort of person. So, when I was basically ignored, and then talked down to when I asked a question, that's what prompted this review.    Read moreA waste of my time! It seems as if the manager of the car audio department didn't want to deal with me from the start. I was referred to Roseville from the John R store since I have a Sprinter camper van. I had a smaller Pioneer radio but wanted to upgrade to a 10.1" model for better visibility. After setting up the appointment with a tech, the manager called me nearly yelling to say it wasn't an install but rather an"evaluation" since "all Sprinters are different" and that his junior tech didn't know better. I said all I needed were the same connections on the new radio as I had on the old. "No, it doesn't work that way" he said. I said that I had already removed the old radio and tested the new one and it worked fine. "That makes our job harder" he said "because I need to check everything works". I said that everything does work...just plug in the USB, radio & SiriusXM antennas, speaker harness and mic, and mount it. He wasn't having it. On the install day he did his 'inspection' and started counting speakers, checking the backup camera, etc. etc. I said I don't need any of that - it was ready to go. He then dismissively looked at the cracked mounting bracket from the prior radio (one of the reasons I wanted a new radio) and said it was impossible to install. I said just forget it and I'd install it myself. He said I didn't order a mounting bracket - I showed him the ordered parts on the app and returned the $199 of other parts they ordered which I didn't need.    Read moreI bought a Windows 10 online and it was the wrong item, so I went to return it. I actually needed windows 10 pro 64 bit. I was told that the store was out of stock and just to order it on line and buy it and download it. The next day I looked it up and realized it was not true, it was an actual physical copy not a download and the sale ended the day before. I tried calling to resolve this but Best Buy has a call center now. You can not actually talk to anyone at the store at all! I talked to a manager from the call center she passed me to someone else then they wanted me to talk to geek squad and I told them all that I just wanted the windows program I need at the sale price because I was given the wrong information thats it. She put me on hold the after 3 min she must have not known what to do so she sent me to the menu to select an option only the menu she sent me to had 2 options that did not fit what I was calling about. So I hung up and called back. After waiting again for 10 min I then explained everything again just to get passed to another again only to get another person that did not know anything and hung up on me! So I called one last time and after 10 more minutes was told by a lady that all the people at the call center are brand new and have one 3 weeks of training đł She then told me to my best bet was to go back up to the store and take to a person there. BEST BUY WHAT IS THE POINT OF A CALLING SERVICE THAT HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEIR JOBS ARE OR WHAT THEY ARE DOING? THEY HELP NO ONE! YOU HAVE A VERY VERY BAD CALLING SERVICE.
