Gratiot Plaza — Local services in Roseville

This particular plaza is awful! you have the tiny Kroger that has not been redone in forever, it’s small and there’s not a lot of product so I have to always go to another store so I just don’t shop at this Kroger anymore so you might as well just drive a half a mile up the street to the brand new nice Kroger that got built, then you have the shoe store which is kind of trash and a giant empty space and then you have Best Buy they really need to do something else with this plaza or put in something else, it’s not a very safe plaza at all either because every single time I come here you have people approaching you begging for money, the last time that I was here I was loading groceries in my trunk and was approached by two people begging for cash and I never carry cash and it was uncomfortable. I visited here on a Saturday morning, I went to the Kroger. To my surprise, it was crowded. I was able to get a regular parking spot near the door, with ease. But this particular Kroger, however, is a little barren, depending on what groceries you want to get. A lot of the lettuce/salad options were already browning. I got the DOLE salad in a bag, my mistake because I usually go to the farmers market, but the lettuce is 100% fake. The texture of it was not ordinary. I say STOP buying produce from grocery stores. If you trust a farmers market, go there, or please just grow your own. Also at this Kroger, only 1 lane at checkout was open, and only one self checkout area was open, with 2 registers down. I've been doing a lot of Best buys in my day, but this one is on a whole another level with customer service.

It was busy on the weekend the staff looked swamped. A blue shirt walked by and I said "sir, can you please show me where the computer monitors are" not only did he show me but he basically gave me a full-blown tour of the product and all the different promotions they offer.

And as I'm leaving he says if you ever need anything let me know.

I said what's your name, he replied so and so the store manager.

I was blown away that the store manager took that much time to take care of a single customer.

What a place that wasn't the first time I had a great experience in there, the floor help is awesome!
