Harbor Freight — Local services in Rostraver Township

I have been a customer of harbor freight for over 20 years. Recently I made several purchases at both the Greensburg and Belle Vernon stores. Two of the items I purchased were the Centech battery boosters.

Recently I had occasion to use the one booster and it did not work. I charged it as per instruction yet it failed to charge. Called HF customer service and also emailed them asking if they would at least offer a discount on a new booster. I was told tough luck as our warranty is 90 days PERIOD. In other words get lost as we already have your money. Not the first time HF denied me assistance.

HF lost a very good customer and I will tell others of my experience.

Update: Purchased a cordless drill/light combo. Used it 3 times as per instructions and the battery is junk. Of course it's past the 90 day mark so like the junk battery chargers they will refuse me a new drill or battery also. Stay away...

Products are becoming better quality at a higher price point but they still carry the 1 time use stuff too. What I've been told is if you only need it for a small job and probably won't use it again buy the cheap one. If you find you use it more often wait til it breaks then buy the better one.

I have purchased a basement sump pump and also a transfer pump and they have worked great for a couple years now. I also got a $20 fountain pump I've had running 24/7 for over 3 years in an aquarium with just monthly cleaning. I did replace the impeller because pond snails would get into it and it wore the plastic blades down crunching them up.

Lastly I won't get a cart or a basket when I go that way I only buy what I can carry or else I'd be so far in debt I wouldn't be able to afford gas to get home. You'll find so much that you never...

Apathetic workers that don't ask to help you unless they stalk you around the store, treat you as a criminal.

They sit at the front, including the big huge guy doing absolutely nothing!

Stopped buying from Harbor Freight altogether because they failed to help find, items needed when asked.

Items are way overpriced, one example, an electric lawn mower there that costs a huge amount doesn't even come with one battery! On the box, it reads works better, longer if you have two batteries! They are sold at exorbitant high prices each!

GO TO THE WALMART ACROSS THE STREET!

Walmart across the street has a very nice selection and they back up, guarantee their merchandise. Call the managers there if you need anything, they will definitely help you!
