Little Bamboo Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Rostraver Township

My wife and I went in to order. 2 phones was ringing off the hook. I get they are busy. As we are standing there waiting for the girl up front to take our order she continued to answer calls stating to the phone callers can you please hold jumping back a forth to the phone callers taking their orders who all seem to be ordering 1 meal each caller. We stood there while calls came in and were ignored. I walked out but had to come back in and tell her how rude and messed up what she did to us. She said we take phone calls 1st okay. I said no I stood here watching you take 6 new calls and I am a paying customer. She had a cook take our order. I spoke slow so he could understand. Got home only to find out my order of Chicken and broccoli was all broccoli NO CHICKEN. Everything else was fine. I spent $81 on my order. Now mind you I stood there watching calls come in and being ignored. I drove home saw that it was ALL broccoli and drove back and she charged me a $1 for the chicken. I said you really going to charge me a $1 after all of that? I waited for you to answer 6 calls while I stood here got it home and found you guys messed up my order. How about we’re sorry we will take care of it for you. Her reply, I didn’t take the order. Well guess what- he works for you and there was a mistake. Ignored me while taking 6 new calls spending $81 now $82 dollar and no we’re sorry but you owe me a $1..

One over price small...

Pleasantly surprised. I find that most Chinese restaurants are not good but this one was. It's in a strip mall next to the liquor store so i wasn't impressed at first glance (I usually avoid eating at restaurants in strip malls). When we went in the decor was typical of every Chinese restaurant I've ever been in. Again, not overly impressed but I didn't come here for the decor. We were seated and immediately someone came to our table to get our drink order. Our waiter was at our table directly following that. Our food took a few minutes thanks to my boyfriend's meal taking longer to cook but our waiter was attentive, kept our drinks full, and let us know how things were progressing. We had ordered an appetizer of crab Rangoon (it's called something else on the menu) so the wait wasn't horrible. When we did receive our food it was delicious. My bf had general tso shrimp and I had Kung po chicken and we each ordered an egg roll. We've always been big fans of this restaurant, as the food is awesome. We moved a few years ago and now have nearly an hour drive to grab takeout from it. We've overlooked the shrinking portions that we'd noted post-covid, but the last several times we've ordered, we've had the wrong items packed and items missing. When we notified them, the restaurant has not been particularly concerned about their level of service as the phone is always ringing with more orders. The old saying that beauty is as beauty does rings true. Great food with poor service = mediocre, unreliable experience. I'll make the drive much less often now and look for an option that is the full package.

I'd also share that I order well in advance for a specific time and, with this last pickup, ended up having to wait 20 minutes for my food after the scheduled pickup time. Again, this for me is a lack of service and...
