This was my first visit to ALDI. My friends and family constantly said I needed to go there so I went. My first visit I was in aha seeing some of the prices and the organization of the store. People always talked about how everything was in boxes piled up. It is but there an organization to it. I was ok picking up some idetms that were not name brand, some not so much like my ketchup I only buy Heinz. I was excited about the price of dairy, eggs and produce. I got a lot of groceries for only $40.00. The only downfall was when I got home and cut into my cantaloupe it was totally white no orange at all. The other thing I noticed was some items had use before dates were in two weeks. Now if u could freeze them great and many items last longer than that. So again ok. I'm a person that hates going shopping and the check out procedure was a bit much for me. I do not like adding the extra step of bagging my groceries too. Plus had to stop at another store to pick up idems they didn't have. Overall I will go back again but still not my...
Read moreI like aldi's. They have there own brands of items, and alot of them are healthier variety. The prices are much cheaper then other grocery stores. I can fill a shopping cart to the Brim at Aldi, and it only cost about $200. At Walmart or Giant Eagle. Or even Foodland, a full cart would cost me about $500 or more. I like that Aldi has weekly sales on non food items. The only thing, I dont buy much meat items at Aldi, they don't have a large variety so ill usually buy my meats elsewhere. I like that you have to pay a quarter to get the shopping cart as well, bc that ensures that ppl will bring it back so your not walking around the parking lot for 20 mins looking for a shopping cart to use. And if you don't have a quarter for whatever reasons, just ask a cashier, she/he will give you one! They do require you to bring ur own bags, or you can buy there bags for like a dime i think. The last few times I've gone they only had the old paper bags, no plastic ones. Personally I dont care for the paper bags, they're too...
Read moreI really like Aldi but had a horrible experience there today. The employee that brought my bags to my car was one of the most miserable and rude of human beings I've encountered in a long time. She rolled her eyes at me when I told her I wanted the bags in the trunk. After which she slammed my trunk closed and huffed her way back into the store without saying anything or even looking back at me. I drive a small subaru four door so she really made a conscious decision to whack my trunk down with her caustic energy. She made me feel incredibly unwanted as a customer. This was my first time using Aldi pickup. I had a much more welcome experience at Walmart and will continue to do my pickup orders there instead. I am also going to be telling my neighbors not to do pickup at this location for fear they will be deterred by the beast that delivered my groceries. I actually have to go calm myself down before my overnight shift at the hospital that I was getting ready for just reliving this experience. It was a...
