I used to work at Kroger as a kid and I have been pretty loyal my whole life. But this Kroger is quickly going down hill and itâs making it really hard to keep going there. Off the top of my head, here are 10 issues that I have recently (last couple of years) observed. The store is no longer open 24 hours, which impacts convenience. One of the two main entry doors is locked after a certain time at night, making it less convenient for customers. The new one-way security doors give honest customers the impression that the store has a significant problem with theft. Shelf stockers are now working during the day, which is inconvenient for shoppers, whereas they used to work at night. There are visible maintenance issues, such as water leaks on the floor marked by warning signs. The store advertises low prices, but in reality, is more expensive, which feels misleading and dishonest. Example: Fairlife Milk is $5.49 yet is marked with a âLow Priceâ tag. Itâs cheaper ($4.99) at Target. There are not enough baggers, frequently requiring you to bag your own groceries. There is a general shortage of cashiers. The recent placement of lottery or gaming machines at the front of the store creates an atmosphere similar to a "seedy" convenience store or a casino. The shopping carts are in poor condition and need to be replaced, suggesting a lack of investment in store maintenance and customer experience. The employees are increasingly ragged in both appearance and demeanor.

Read moreKroger likes to advertise that they are all about fresh, and how they love to help out in their respective communities. Here is how they elected to help a young couple about mid twenties who had just lost their home to a lightning induced fire. The couple put all their belongings into their 2 cars. The Kroger manager called the police on the FOR SLEEPING IN THEIR CAR!!! The Roswell police came out in full force of about 10 police cars and invited them to leave permanently. So I personally shopped at this store. My opinion of the management here is that this store needs managers interested in managing their stores, i.e . things like keeping it stocked, hiring employees who are not rude and training them so that they might be of some use to customers, other than accusing the shopping public of theft. This isn't the murder Kroger in Atlanta. This is Roswell and this area is relatively safe at least it seems to be and for what the residents here pay in taxes it ought to be. After the cops got done treating this couple like garbage at the request of the manager who apparently has something against people sleeping in their car much as their overnight stock crew does on their breaks. I made sure these 2 got a hotel room and some edible food. No they are not criminals and the police couldn't find anything to take them to jail for and I'll tell you, they TRIED!!! As for my family, WE DO NOT SHOP AT THIS (OR ANY) KROGER...
Read moreI am so disturbed by my shop this morning I immediately came to Google to review it. I understand it is not the employees fault and it's probably not the manager's fault that there's no staff there, it is Kroger corporate office that is trying to cut back labor, I don't understand why Publix is all staffed up in the morning waiting and ready to serve people this morning I had to use self-checkout with about 45 things, and a lot of produce, the clerk David had to come over 11 times and clear the screen, and then he was looking at photos of me to make sure I put everything in the cart, I am a grown adult, I'm not a punk kid and I'm not homeless and I don't shoplift and that made me feel so uncomfortable I doubt I will ever shop at a Kroger again. Every time I got produce the machine locked up and wanted to know the number of items on the unweighed things but the volume on the machine was down so I couldn't hear it telling me to enter the number, if you're going to open your doors, staff your stores, or start scheduling employees because this was truly a horrific experience, 11 times he came over and looked at photographs of me to make sure I put things in the cart, I have never been accused of shoplifting in my life and although he didn't say it that was...
