I had the new Poblano Pepper Omelette & it was delicious, hence the 2 star rating for the food, but we all know service and atmosphere are the determining factors when reviewing a dining experience, at least for me. The gentleman who greeted and seated us was friendly and prompt, however the rest of the service was one, if not thee worst experiences I've ever endured. The server (I don't know her name, as her name tag was blank, nor did she introduce herself), did not greet us, but began with, "Want something to drink?" We ordered coffee which was presented to us in cups with dried drip marks and crust along the rim. When we asked her, (the only visible female team member in the restaurant), for clean cups she told us they were not dirty, but that she had probably spilt coffee on her way to the table. Wrong response. She brought out two more cups this time only half full, presumably not to spill any coffee on the way to the table. Although they were probably not, they looked exactly like the previous cups with the same kind of stains and crust. I then had to grab flatware and napkins from another table to stir the cream into the coffee. She came back and asked if we were ready to order and we did. She wrote nothing down (a server cardinal sin), and did not prompt us for any side dish we might care for, nor were we thanked for placing the order. By this time I felt that my presence in the restaurant was not wanted and certainly not appreaciated by any stretch of the imagination. The food came out fast and hot. The wrong food selection was placed in front of me, which I would normally not even mention. There was no, "What else can I get you?, Do you need any ketchup?, how are you on coffee?, Enjoy your meal...Nada! She left the table, we ate as fast as we could, and headed for the cashier as quickly as possible, sans the check. We don't frequent IHOP, but will go occasionally when we have a hankering for pancakes. The next time we have the urge, our palates will not be satisfied at...
Read moreCleanish. This location definitely needs a proper makeover and upgrade though; windows and doors included. Emoyees for the most part are a professional and courteous group of people. They are always pleasant - unlike some of the other locations I have gone too. Saying good morning and not getting any response at some other places tell me some people have no home training or simply don't try to do better. I digress...THIS location is Great!!!
Usually my experience here is always good, however, today, December 25, 2021, I tried ordering and then picked up. It was horrible. On top of that, the items I paid for and requested was off. We have food allergies and when I placed my order online, I was very specific was specific about what we wanted. I got to the store, picked up our items - as usual customer service was nice - and headed home. We opened the bag and although we asked for turkey bacon, no tomatoes on the omelet and avocados on the side, we received 2 sausage links and no avocados. I went back to the store and apparently they did not have any turkey bacon and gave us sausage instead. The cashier was very apologetic and even said that they had just opened and asked the cook for the avocados. Although he did prepare me fresh cut avocados, I watched as the cook, handed one of the waiter's the avocados and before handing it to the cashier, the waiter put his ungloved fingers on the avocados as he showed the cashier the avocados was ready. I was so disturbed, shocked and disgusted, I left. I finally returned home, only to realize tomatoes was added to my omelet even though I indicated "no tomatoes" due to my food allergies. I was done! I did not want to waste my fuel yet again and tried calling about the issue, but the line stayed busy indefinitely. So our food was cold, I couldn't eat the omelet and basically paid for food we could not eat. Not how I planned to start my Christmas...
Read moreWe just came here today with 3 kids during the times kids eat free. We knew that at least two adult meals would be needed to cover for the two meals, we had three adult meals and two kids meal. Before I even took a table I asked if kids eat free and the guy said yes as long as they picked from the kids menu, that's reasonable, so we agreed. When the bill came they charged me all the kids meals. I told the guy about it, he issued me a refund. He ran my card again and told me that he was only able to deduct one and not the other..I asked why he was like "idk Idk idk," he couldn't give me a straight answer. He was like but you order from this and not this. When I asked him before we even sat down about whether or not kids ate free he said yes as long as they eat from the kids menu and that's what they did. We followed their protocols and still got charged. He said that he would talk to a manager but the manager allegedly told him that yes that menu item is normally free but that they removed it that day. When you walk in to the IHOP even outside they have giant signs that say kids eat free. I litterally ended up paying more than I would going to Chillis, Fridays, or anywhere else, even Olive Garden and Red Lobster. We were all crammed into a little table in a loud crowded area. I feel like I got scammed. Whether they took that item off the menu or not that item was in the kids menu that day, they confirmed that kids eat free and didn't want to honor it. That's the whole reason we went there ,even their tv ads say kids eat free but they didn't want to honor the meal of a 4 year old boy. I got scammed and never going again. They didn't want to honor it. At first they charged me for the whole thing, then they came with stupid excuses to not honor it. They didn't even deserve...
