People have a right to know if they’re giving money to a cult that abuses children. The friendliness they may project is literally a recruitment tactic.
Per the facts
“Cults recruit new members anywhere you might expect to meet new people: social media, discussion groups, community clubs, events, and the like. These are typically nonthreatening, public situations that would not cause anyone to be suspicious. Cult recruiters get to know as much as they can about people and identify individuals who may be receptive to meeting a group of the recruiter’s friends at dinner or another social event. Though the chosen targets are generally unaware, these seemingly innocent gestures are the first steps to being drawn into a cult. …Once the potential recruit is in the presence of cult members, typically still oblivious to the group’s agenda, they are showered with love and validation. This tactic, referred to as “love bombing,” makes the recruit believe they’ve found what they’re looking for and more likely to return for group activities in the future. This is critical in the early stages of cult indoctrination since the recruit is not yet under their influence and needs to feel secure. “

Read moreThe Twelve Tribes is a "Biblical Commune" NOT a Cult. Every person whose their is happy and their in their own accord and choice! They are there as they believe in UNITY and the Philosophy of "Many hands make light work". They are correct and hardworking, skilled loving, friendly and kind. They kick butt on Hospitality, Cooking, Agriculture, expert Woodworkers, Soap making, producing Grain and other Organic Products. They are around the Globe and each group helps the other! My Husband Greg and I stayed overnight in a beautiful room at the Harper's Ferry Community (Hillsboro) where Jeremy and his lovely Wife dwell. And this week we went to visit Organic Basin Farms in Bellows Falls VT. We were treated with love and respect and fed a delicious meal with some great Fellowship. They even allowed us to help peel Butternut squash that were harvested. They had what seemed like tons and are very productive. All true CULTS never last and fizzle out but these folks have not and they've been around for a very long time. They are NOT a Cult and to be 100% honest, even if they were, then we wouldn't mind lol 😆 God bless the Twelve...
Read moreAmazing hidden gem in Rutland. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and their sandwiches are next-level. The deli rose is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, period. Premium meats, cheese, homemade bread, perfectly toasted and served melty warm. It's also cheap and the decor is intricate and beautiful. Amazing carpentry.
Other people are concerned about this restaurant's affiliation with twelve tribes. I think it is a mistake to write this place off due to the religious/lifestyle orientation of its workers. They're different, and their organization has its problems, but this branch is run by kind, altruistic people and they are not intrusive with their religion; they just have free pamphlets on the side. I spent the night in the hostel and hung out with the workers and no one tried to convert me. They are respectful of their customer's boundaries.
I imagine you would still eat at a restaurant owned by a Catholic, even though the Catholic Church has issues with sex abuse, because it's possible to recognize that faith doesn't define someone's entire identity -- judge people based on how they...
