Listen up, dumpling lovers! If you're anywhere near the Arden area, you need to hit up Tasty Dumpling off Fair Oaks—trust me, you won’t regret it. This spot is a recent gem in the neighborhood, and we stumbled upon it during a date night. Let me tell you, we had the BEST time.

First of all, the service was incredible. We were constantly asking about the mouthwatering dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen, and the friendly staff was so eager to explain each one. The lovely young woman at the front counter walked us through every option, describing each dish with such enthusiasm that we were practically drooling before even ordering.

We went with the Egg Fried Rice, pan-fried pork potstickers, and sesame balls—and everything was absolutely divine. Fresh, flavorful, and made to order, it was clear that every dish was crafted with care. The potstickers had the perfect crispy outside and juicy filling, and the sesame balls? Total perfection.

But the experience didn’t stop there. I asked if they had hot mustard, and the staff member didn’t just hand me some pre-made stuff—she went into the back and made it from scratch for me! And when I tell you it was some of the best hot mustard I’ve ever had, I’m not exaggerating. The level of care and attention to detail was next level.

We were at coldstone next door and I’ve seen this spot as it was prepping for its grand opening and have been telling myself I would come try this spot once it opened. Tonight was that night. I was SO impressed. Firstly, I checked online and it said they were closed but we made the quick walk next door just to be sure… the open sign was on and there were 2 families sitting at tables eating, we walked in and were greeted. The cashier was SO sweet and such a genuine soul. I asked her a couple of questions about the menu (I am not a dumpling connoisseur by any means), she made some recommendations and was very patient with my son as we ordered to help figure out what he might like (this was his first time trying dumplings). She asked if we were dining in or taking out and stated they were closed and had just cleaned the kitchen, and I apologized and told her no worries that we could come back another day to try and I didn’t want them to have to make another meal but she insisted and I ordered to go.

The food is DELICIOUS!! We orders the pork and shrimp dumpling and the egg drop soup and both were bomb and tasted very fresh. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and nice. I am very impressed with this spot and will most definitely return and recommend to friends and family. And a huge part of this was the cashier and how absolutely kind she was.

Saturday, 5/17/2025 - Tried Tasty Dumpling. Address is 2080 Fair Oaks Blvd, Ste 160, Sacramento, CA 95825. Upon arrival....

Pros

1. parking was a little hard. But we did find parking. If you've a big truck, may be a little tight.
2. you order right when you get in and then pick a table to sit. They'll give you a number after you order.
3. the staffs were super nice, talkative, and cherry. They were friendly and made us feel welcome. We joked with them and they joked right back. Made is all smiles and laugh.
4. dumplings and bao were good. We liked them. There is a few sauces in the table you can use for it.
5. restaurant looked clean. Our plate, utensils and cups were clean.
6. water tasted great. No funky or metal taste.
