Went for lunch, ordered cheeseburger, fries and a shake. They only put “their sauce” on the burger. Asked how I wanted it cooked…well done (no pink). The cashier directed me to a counter to get some mayo and mustard in small pakages for my burger. The packages were sticky on the outside. All were sticking. So I took a napkin and put some water on it to wash off the mayo & mustard packs. The plastic spoons and forks were also very sticky but had dried clumps of catsup on them. Again I washed off a spoon using the water from the soda machine. We sat for awhile the people around us ordered after us got their food. We went back to the counter to inquire. Discovered the confused employee didn’t give us the buzzer to notify us our food was ready. The EE said she needed our receipt to look for our food. I can’t believe she had no recollection of us ordering. We were given our tray. We couldn’t rip open the mayo packs. We took a few mayo packages to the counter for assistance. The clerk couldn’t rip them open. He finally found one he could open. When I bit into my burger it was cooked medium (very pink). I requested crispy fries. My fries were cold —not even warm and soft undercooked. The bun was toasted and looked delicious. Too bad that bun wasn’t as tasty as it looked. My guess is….the bun was toasted earlier, the burger prepared earlier and the fries as well. As we were sitting the people next to us asked if this was the first time we ate here. She told us they (her mother and herself) would not return. She had the same complaints—-cold food that was prepared earlier in the day at a rather high priced food. We will not return. FYI, the chairs are those plastic chairs people use outside. Flimsy with a small seat. Someone is going to get hurt using those chairs. The decor was modern. It seems the business spent the least amount of money it could but their prices are...
Read moreToday marked my first visit to this captivating location, and I must say, the ambiance was truly on point, creating a delightful backdrop for the experience. The cashier greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine understanding of the menu; she patiently took the time to walk me through the options, which I greatly appreciated. Notably, she highlighted that the burger included jalapeños—an ingredient I had specifically requested to omit, showcasing her attention to detail.
I decided to try the strawberry lemonade, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Refreshingly vibrant and bursting with flavor, it was the perfect complement to my meal. As for the burger, it was an extraordinary culinary surprise that tasted remarkably like Carne Asada. I’m still in awe of how they achieved that unique flavor; it left me utterly speechless. The white onions were sliced razor-thin, adding a delightful crunch that elevated every bite.
The fries, while decent, didn’t quite win me over; I found them lacking, though my spouse thoroughly enjoyed them. Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone looking for a satisfying meal. However, be mindful—the portions are hefty. I would recommend opting for just the burger or perhaps a simple salad, as the fries tend to be a bit too filling. Nonetheless, the experience was nothing...
Read moreYay! I don't have to drive to Folsom to get my burger fix from The Melt because we now have one much closer to me on Fair Oaks Blvd. I love this location with plenty of indoors and patio seating. You can also order directly from the website for pick-up. Super convenient. It was ready within 10-15 minutes.
BBQ BACON MELTBURGER The cheddar cheese is nice and melty. The burger is cooked about 80% (the way I like it) with bbq sauce, bacon and crispy onions. You can also add lettuce and tomatoes for free.
GARLIC PARMESAN FRIES This is a must or order the Cheddar Bacon Ranch Fries. You can't have burger without the fries. The sweet potato fries are great too. They are not shoestring but not wedge fries. It's the perfect cut size.
PATTY MELT I think any of the sandwiches from Melted Classics section are fantastic, particularly Patty Melt with grilled angus-waygu beef, sweet caramelized onions (best topping), swiss, provolone and spicy mustard. Heaven!
Each sandwich also comes with a pickle. Highly recommended if you're craving for good burgers and fries in a...
