I LOVE this vintage store! Rachel the owner is so sweet and genuine! I came here 5 years ago and bought a vintage top I loved here that I wore all through my college years! It was pricy I remember but so worth it since I loved it so much and received so many compliments every time I wore it! I remember Rachel was so friendly and kind and remembered trying the top on in the dressing room and getting the best customer service from Rachel!

5 years later I’m back here again and visited this store last week to check out their vintage clothing again and walked in and was immediately greeted not by Rachel but another kind sweet middle aged woman (I forgot her name) who immediately made me feel at home which I appreciated! I was hoping to have met Rachel that day again and reintroduce myself but I had a great interaction with the middle aged blonde woman who was such a sweetheart and was a genuine human being. We had a great conversation and she made me feel at ease instead of uncomfortable which I normally get a lot at other stores where I’m ignored and have made to feel less than since I don’t look like a Victoria’s secret model or fit into the hipster mold that’s overtaking downtown nowadays. I spent my time looking around the shop and taking my time but unfortunately didn’t find anything to buy this shopping trip! They have a huge selection of cool vintage pieces! I loved looking around and am so glad I stopped on by! Next time I hope to catch Rachel to say hi and thank her for the awesome vintage blouse I bought from her 5 years ago! I came back due to remembering the friendly genuine kind customer service years ago and am so glad that the customer service has stayed the same throughout the years! Rachel the owner is doing it right and employee the best people who are kind and genuine like her! Love Racks! Excellent store, with fabulous vintage clothing and superb service!  I went in looking for a suit or jacket & pants for an event that requires 40s-50s period attire. I got expert recommendations and wonderful customer service from Lindsay, who quickly assessed what I needed, brought out multiple nice suit options to consider, and every one fit me perfectly!  I ended up with genuine 1940s suit that was better than I ever could have hoped for.

But wait, there’s more! I thought I had a few ties at home that would “look 1940s” so took the suit home and tried my own shirts and ties.

Lindsay was was willing to evaluate my shirts and ties with the 1940s suit I had bought. She gave me great insights into both, we concluded I was fine with one shirt I had, but I really needed a tie to get the right look. Lindsay took the time to look up a web site with detailed info about tie styles and sample images from the 1940s to confirm her hunch, looked through the ties in stock, and came up with three options that were right in line with the range of styles referenced on the “tie history site.” I immediately loved one and bought it.

In both cases, Lindsay’s customer service went above and beyond any other experience I can recall from recent memory. She has great taste, knows clothing periods and is willing to go above and beyond to look up extra information, and the store has so many great clothes even though it appears so small on first glance. Racks Vintage clothing is a fun and nostalgic place to browse. Clothing is organized by style, era and color. The storefront looks small but it packs a punch!
