Took my 2 dogs here on a Wed because of the website saying it was wash a dog and wash second one for half price on Wednesdays. I parked along the side of the building near the train tracks without problems. The friendly worker showed me how to use the wash station that has soap dispensed with the water and helped me get my big dog into the tub since she was scared. Then she left me and never returned. I realized i had no towels or anything at my station so i had to go over to the other tubs and fetch some. The floor was reallllly slippery i almost fell on my face several times from the water splashes on the concrete floor. I found hair floating in the ear cleaning solution which was gross... the floors were gross too with hair everywhere. I then took my pups to the blow dryer area and had to figure it out on my own. This was the worst part of it for me other than slipping everywhere. The blow dryer is very loud and scary for dogs. It felt like cold air which is just mean. There was no good way to tie my big dog at the drying station because they have raised platforms but i had no problems with hooking up my little one. Also when i turned the blow dryer on it blew a flurry of hair and dirt i to the air all around me.. went to check out and was getting charged full price, i mentioned the online ad which the worker seemed clueless about but she gave me the discount anyways. My dogs were clean, but traumatized. The shampoo smell lasted only for about a week. Overall I'd only come back if my dogs got really dirty for...
Read moreHad my first visit to this place today with one of my dogs and I truly could not have asked for a better experience! The gentleman running the place (he may be the owner, I forgot to ask) was very intuitive and noticed how anxious my dog was as soon as we came in the door. He welcomed us to the facility and directed us on where to stand while the previous customer came through with their dog (great call because my girl very rowdy). After they left, he showed me to the washing station and explained everything and even upgraded my dog shampoo and conditioner for our first visit. It was oatmeal and worked very well on my super dry doggie! I took my time washing and drying and eventually my dog calmed down and we had a pleasant time. Spent about 30-35 mins giving her a thorough wash and didn’t feel rushed at all. I will be going back soon with my other dog but we will definitely be frequent customers of this establishment. Being pregnant I was nervous about doing this by myself but the ease of using the stations, the guidance, and well placed supplies really made it easy! Thanks a lot Splash Hound USA, we will see...
Read moreAdopted a 5yr Labradoodle (Sam) with some aggression issues. He's 90lbs and we got a CLEAR warning that nail trimming was going to be a tough battle.
I tried on my own and couldnt even hold his paw for more than 1-3 seconds before he would freak out and start nipping. I was ready to purchase a muzzle and give it another go, when I decided to try a few places and see if they were up to helping out with the nail trimming.
Came in on a Monday with the $5 nail trim special.....I forgot the name of the woman who helped us, but she mentioned 22yrs of experience when I mentioned worry about him getting angry once we started....before I knew it...she had Sam's paws in her hands, was clipping away without him being agitated at all!
Straight up amazing service! Done super fast and kept the dog calm and happy throughout the process! No bleeding, no fussing, no biting,...
