Sunday Certified California-Grown Farmers Market — Local services in Sacramento

Much cheaper and carries a lot more Asian vegetables varietals than the normal Sunday market next block over. Highly recommend. All cash only. Hours are 5:00am-12:00pm. Most restaurants come around 5, but the rest of us usually jam in after 9. Parking is street parking only. Do not park across the street ON THE WALKWAY DIAGONALLY (warehouse side). Even though you will see people park like that, it’s wrong. I’ve seen officers hand out ticket after ticket on those cars so don’t park diagonally. You will get a parking ticket.

Best time to go is between 8:30-10:30am. When you get there after 11:00am almost half the stalls are closed and all the goodies are mostly swept clean. Open year round. The week around Chinese Lunar New Year is...

8/27/2023: lots of corn and peppers and big boxes of blueberries for $1!

Lots of Bitter Melon, peppers, leafy greens, and seafood too. Open on August 30th after a long closure.

March 7, 2021: stands reorganized, no one outside fence now. Great variety of greens today, local tofu and soy milk.

April 17, 2021: fresh Nigauri today!

September 7, 2022: Lots of nigauri and heirloom corn on the cob today.

I have been going to this farmers market since 1986 and it has always been a good experience with the vendors. I go every week and make sure to get the pistachios and pecans from there. Also the Asian side I find all the vegetables that I have been eating since I was very young before coming to USA.
