I passed this shop on the way to buy some mochi at Osakaya. It has few tables to dine in & a big freezer with frozen food inside. After buying the mochi, I decided to order some food to go. - Pork chop rice bowl: crispy and flavorful pork chop. The unique Taiwanese flavor was definitely prominent with the addition of pickled mustard. The red rice was fluffy and tasty. - Popcorn chicken rice bowl: crispy & tender chicken pieces with red rice. The pieces were quite big & the portion was generous - Zha-jiang mian: the meat sauce was flavorful with tasty fermented bean curd (not too salty). The noodle was good (since I had it to-go, it was a bit hard when I ate it at home). Overall, good authentic Taiwanese food with great value. I will definitely come back to try different menu & their frozen items.

Edit 7 months later I enjoy this mom and pop Taiwanese bento place. Their sides are always pleasantly good. Recently tried the oyster egg omelette and it tasted very authentic with the seafood savory sauce on top. It is one of those more acquired taste dishes, as the texture is goopy. The take our bentos are still really good but call ahead to pick up because it always takes a long time to get if you order there. Old review I just really like the simplicity of this place and how authentically Taiwanese it feels. Their lunch bento boxes really hit the spot.

Usually only come here for the chilli oil wontons and let me tell you they are really good. They give about 12 pieces and they are a pretty decent size. Pretty flavorful and not that spicy it just adds a kick thats all. Eat it with a side of rice you have at home and you have a meal right there. I do recommend this if you want a little good appetizer for about 10 bucks. And they don't take that long to make this item either it's usually about 10 minutes and is always hot and fresh when I get it

Very impressed with the quality and how authentic the Taiwanese food is here!! There’s a little details bursting with flavor. I travel back to Taiwan every year and I’m a bay area native. This is one of the best Taiwanese places I’ve had in Northern California.

3 cups mushroom Bento–Silken tofu is fried to perfection with king oyster mushroom, and other Asian mushrooms I don’t know the name of with ginger, clothes of garlic, and basil. Other sides: cabbage, cucumber, and ground pork with black bean, chives, red bell pepper. Taiwanese sausage–Comes out hot, juicy, and flavorful with a tiny sliver of raw garlic at the very end Stewed pork belly rice bowl– Good cuts of pork and a boiled egg stewed and soy sauce base with hints of star anise with fermented Veggie Zong Zhi – after cutting it open, I was delighted to find pork, pork belly, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and generous amounts of peanuts sprinkled throughout. Of course topped with the sweet pink sauce and a ton of cilantro Ba Wan – they were...

Love this place. I’m Taiwanese and ever since I moved up here from LA, I’ve only found one other place that serves Taiwanese food and it’s in Davis. I tried this place after I got a job nearby and it’s really good. Reminds me of the food my grandma would make. The popcorn chicken is also amazing; different from the kind most boba shops serve but I love it. It has a rice flour coating so its has a different texture and there’s bits of fried garlic and basil in the bag. Prices are reasonable and I’m glad this place exists. Only downside is that they’re closed a few...
