National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe — Attraction in Sacramento

This is not the nicest shiniest most physically beautiful church, but it is a church that has a really big beautiful positive catholic community. It has many programs that help people or ex-Catholics reintegrate into the faith. Other programs that help people learn skills to be better parents, better sons, and better human being overall. This Church will transport you to a beautiful place in Mexico, with a kind since of community who love and cares. Every Sunday a festive market of food and drink vendors, is available to all,(whether you attend church or not). In the alley behind the Church is an outdoor market or on T. Street just in front. I'm not Catholic, I'm not Latino, and I'm not a churchgoer. That said, this church hosts a fantastic food fair/bazaar on Sunday mornings, with fresh-made tacos, soups, bacon-wrapped hotdogs with chiles, tamales of all sorts, fresh-fried churros. This is a great place to stop after the farmer's market for a terrific home-cooked meal. Very kid-friendly and totally OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - everyone is welcome! - there are snowcones and desserts too and lots of happy kids...
