I'd like to start by saying the tech we had and his experience and professionalism were great. Fixed our washer perfectly. I have to follow that up with our overall experience was horrible. Tech came out 1st day. Diagnosed the issue after which we were given a price of approx $275 total. We paid the service call fee and labor fee (approx $100) and were to be charged the rest at the time it was fixed (approx $150-200). We were told the part would arrive in a few days. Ended up having to call them 1 1/2 weeks later in order to check on our part at which point they informed us they had no record of the part being ordered and proceeded to order said part. We ended up having to call them yet again after another week to get information because we had no communication. Finally our part came and the tech came out yesterday. Proceeded to fix the washer and give us a price of $315 dollars for a grand total of almost $425!!!! He explained it was because the part itself cost $250 from a different supplier which we were not told in any way shape or form never given a paper quote or anything of the sort. If we had known this was the case we wouldn't have fixed the washer and just bought another.
To put it simply they hit us with the bait and switch. After having us wait almost 3 weeks with no communication on delayed or unavailable parts and or any price change. Refused to offer any sort of remedy, refused to leave until they were paid. I will absolutely never use their company again and I would strongly urge others...
Read moreI made an appointment for service and was supposed to get a call when the tech was on his way. Never received a call but the tech showed up. After the diagnosis I waited to go over it with my husband and called in to order the parts. Was told it would be a few days and they would call when the parts arrived. Never received a call so I called to schedule and the girl told me she left me a message. Come to find out she input the wrong phone number. Requested a morning appointments for Thursday my day off. Tech did not show up and I called the office again. Turns out she scheduled me for Friday not Thursday. She said she would get a hold of the tech and call me back. I then received a call from a male from the store and now he claims one of the parts came in wrong. I asked for proof and could he send me a picture of both parts that came in and he said he would. I never received the proof of the parts (must have been a big fat lie) but I received a call from the owner saying they would not come out to fix my dishwasher. I asked for a full refund including the first trip charge and he said normally they would not give that back but he agreed to my full refund. He was very knowledgeable in assisting us in our search for a replacement fridge (needed urgently since the previous one from a chain store died suddenly). He not only was able to order us a new fridge and provided us with a loaner fridge (free of charge including delivery) the next day!!! Talk about service!! He also was responsible for the delivery and set up of the fridge, he and his staff did an excellent installation bending over backwards for me after I totally screwed up on the delivery time. The kicker to the whole thing is he and his staff are also the authorized repair team for the greater Saginaw area for most if not all of the things he sells. There was a previous reviewer who was commenting on this but the warrantees depend on where you live not the store location. If you live outside of the saginaw area ask them about this, they are extremely helpful and forthcoming. Crane's is locally owned and operated (eric is one of the owners!), because of this their prices at times might be a touch higher than the big box stores but they clearly make up for that in spades with customer service and have earned our...
