Petsmart in saginaw what to say about it. They've always been under staffed even before the pandemic. Whenever I need specialty items like crickets, they almost never have any bags out like they use to. They use to have bags of 6-12-24 crickets for just getting what you came for and leaving. I find myself waiting to be helped for 15 sometimes 20 minutes before finally going to the front desk and requesting help with fish, crickets or if I want to purchase an exotic animal. Pesmart does typically have a decent selection of exotic animals from tarantulas, ball pythons, hamsters, gerbils, birds and recently have been keeping chinchillas in stock. Petsmart has a large selection of products for your dog's and cats but has a very slim selection for snakes and other reptiles. I purchased a bearded dragon pedestal that my dragon found a way to get stuck in, I told them about this and they still sell the same pedestal and it's listed as products for bearded dragons. I get its not up to the clerks, but it seems petsmart higher ups don't want to listen to their customers. When checking out unless there is absolutely nobody in the store, I find myself always waiting at least 15 minutes even if there is only 2 people ahead of me, when I see a line of 5 or more, I just turn around and walk out. And like I said, this was prior to the pandemic, it's much worse now.. but understandable. Would I recommend going to petsmart? Only if you're in the area and really need something. Read moreTom The manager Wouldn’t give me the price that was on the product that I was getting ready to purchase when I got to the till I mentioned it to the lady she tried to charge me 19. 99 for a fish clearly said it was 9.99 7. 99or 3.99 so what did she do? She ran over there, took all the stickers off and said that you have to pay the price that’s underneath the stickers to me. This is false advertisement they will not go by the price that is on the wall that is given to everybody to see I will not come here ever again in time shouldn’t be a manager. If you can’t work out a solution his solution was that’s not the price, but the sign is wrong. Well when the sign is wrong then you have to do your job and make sure that the sign is right when somebody comes there and takes a picture and you get up to the cash register and they do not want to give you the price that is visible, there’s the problem I will mention this to everybody I know. Who is going to pay $20 for one fish when the sign says it’s only 9.99 clearly they don’t do their job and can’t be truthful and give somebody the price that is given on the wall. Sad I will never come here. I will go anywhere else but here very unprofessional to me...
Read moreOur Labrador retrievers was abused by the staff at pet smart. We had to leave her at the store/vet for an extensive period of time ( simply to have her ear and foot checked). When we picked her up after a 3 hour wait. She had significant swelling to her nose and a obvious line/indentation into her nose. The injury was most obviously from having a muzzle placed onto her nose (either placed for too long, or placed entirely too tightly) . When I asked staff about it they said it was from “her trying to break out of her cage”. She routinely gets crated at home while we are gone. There is no way that was the cause of the injury. In addition a cage would not account for the indentation dug into her tissue. Staff had no realistic answer for her injury and not a hint of remorse. She is notorious for barking ( she has a very loud bark) my thought is someone got annoyed with her barking and muzzled her ( muzzled her tightly and for too long resulting in injury) . We own several pets and will never consider entrusting their care or safety to this...
