Firehouse Subs Bay Rd. — Restaurant in Kochville Township

Placed an order a few weeks ago and wasn't impressed! Ordered a steak and cheese sandwich and by the time I got home which is only a 6-minute drive. My bread was nothing but mush. But here I am again today I'm giving it another shot.

In the Drive-Thru whoever is working it is rude, rude, rude!!! No hi how you doing? What can I get for you? It was what do you want? I told her the sandwich and before I could even say the size she hollered is that a medium or a large and wheat or white? Very very snippy. Then proceeded to snip what else? I said thats all and then she stated that will be $20.50, I said for 1 sandwich and she never responded. I sat at the speaker saying hello with no response. So then I get up to the window as she's cleaning it and ignores me and says that'll be $20.50 I said excuse me I only ordered one sub. She then goes $12.50 then proceeded to snatch my card out of my hand after running it she basically threw my food out the window with my card in hand. Her comment was here you go and closed the window. How many people has she screwed out of money that hasn't paid attention. What in the hell ever happened to customer service and being courteous. If you don't like your job, go find one that you do. But you definitely don't need to be working here. I will never go back here again!

On a positive note the Thanksgiving...

We ordered and paid for extra cheese on our sandwiches and added banana peppers. There was NO cheese and 3 peppers stuck in the top bun. We tried again 2 days later I ordered 4 chicken dumpling soups thru takeout. I drove home to my sick husband to find 4 loaded potato! I called and manager said the order says potato.. I specifically stated chicken dumpling because I was surprised it wasn't noodle. In a disgusted voice he said he would replace them. I went back the next night thru drivethru, he said that was 3 potato...I said NO I got 4 potato and need 4 chicken and dumpling. He said pull around. Girl at window said it will just a minute. It took an extremely LONG time. They were making me wait...there were no other customers! It wasn't until a car pulled up behind that my soup was finally ready...imagine that. I was wronged then they played games. They should be more professional and not play games with food!! I won't go back! There are plenty of other sub shops...

The food was great.... but the staff seemed very short with me. This was my first visit and I had placed my order online well being the first time I didnt realize they had a specific way of handling online orders. I went to the front counter and was told online pickup is over there (pointing to a sign) I turned around noticed the sign and my order sitting on the shelf. I now know when you order online the staff is not needed and that seems like a good thing at this location.

Edit.. I was contacted by the actual firehouse subs on google and was told the franchise owner would contact me as well. That never happened with the amount of options In Saginaw it wont be hard to find a...
