They charge you $30 for a deposit then they charge you $500. I gave them my tv on March 13 2022. The man at the flint store told me that they had too order the part. He said they don’t order parts unless they received they payment for it. So I thought “okay” so I waited for a phone call too give me a price, no one called. I had too call the Saginaw store too see what the price was. So April 8 2022 I drive too Saginaw too drop off my payment, the women at the desk was very nice, she told me that I didn’t have too drive all the way down here too drop off the payment, I could of drop it off too the flint store. But the man at the flint store didn’t tell me that he just told me that the Saginaw store does the repairing. They apologized too me, the man came out and gave me $10 for gas, that was very nice of him because he really didn’t have too do that. But it is now April 15 2022, I don’t know how long it takes them too repair a tv but I need that tv back because it’s not mines it’s a least and it belongs too Aaron’s. If I don’t receive the tv back by April 22 I’m gonna have too stop payments for that tv and let Aaron’s come and take it. I should have just had Aaron’s too fix it but they was charging a lot. They would only replace the tv if I had water damage or if it was destroyed in a tornado. Does anyone know how long it takes...
Read moreMy 60" Vizio TV picture went out. TV was still "on", but there was no visual. Took it to Steve's TV, they're open really bizarre hours, by the way – but that's beside the point. After a few days, they quoted me at $485 to fix the TV. Described it as "various small repairs". Dude kinda chuckled when I told him I would try and fix it myself. Fair enough, not everyone has the book-learnin' to be a TV repair dude. But, I have YouTube, and not-enough-cash to just "buy" a new TV (dude also didn't believe me when I told him I could BUY a new TV for $500 – check Google, man!) anyway.
Speaking of Google, I look up my problem. The common theme seems to be a "powerboard" issue. Sounds technical, right? WRONG! Check this out: YouTube video that's like 5 minutes long, shows me straight up how to replace the part. I look up the powerboard. It's $50 on Amazon. That's a whole lot cheaper than $485. Order it with 2 day shipping (Shoutout to Amazon Prime!) I pop the back of my TV off, replace the part (literally took 10 minutes) and BAM, I'm watchin' Netflix.
tl;dr: Steve's TV is open weird hours, quoted me $485 to fix my TV, fixed it myself in 10 minutes, for $50.
2/5 stars because they got fingerprints all over my screen, and the dude's cocky attitude when I told him I'd...
Read moreMy husband took my 65 inch television to Steve and Jake’s TV repair due to it having a slight shadow on the left side. We received a phone call stating the Samsung panel was going out and Samsung no longer make the panel. We were asked if we were going to pick the television up or did they want them to trash it? My husband picked the television up because it was working before he dropped it off. When we got the television home. It would not show a picture. The screen was black with white line going down the screen on the right hand side. I called them and was transferred to the technician who said the television screen was cracked. I told him that is not true and even if it were, why wasn’t this told when my husband was called with the diagnosis of the television. No one mentioned that the television was cracked because it was not cracked. I asked what part did they take out of the television because it no longer works? My $900 television is not working at all because of this company. A lie was told as to why it is not working in the consultation/diagnosis. They waited untill we got the television home to lie to cover up their...
