American Legion Post 66 — Local services in Sahuarita

As a life member of the legion and life member of the VFW I can say when it comes to effective board members and competent management this is the worse American legion I have ever seen. Most of these recent reviews are lies to try and get back all the snowbird clientele that stop going there. The bar is the filthiest that I have seen it in years and they are losing money so they are posting fake reviews. They took a beautiful bar and turned it into a poor man’s country club. I had Thanksgiving meal that was good, but then later had a pork rib special that wasn't so good, especially for the price. Potato casserole had half raw potatoes and cold cheese, cornbread was not cooked, it was so raw the bottom half was pudding consistency. Corn was cold, as well as meat, but at least the meat was cooked. Don't know that I will have any more...

We needed a banquet hall to have a celebration of life reception for after my brother's services. I called and spoke with Tom. He was able to accommodate us in such short notice and went above and beyond. His kind demeanor and willingness to help made all the difference. My family and I had a great experience despite going through such a hard time....
