We were in the mood for tacos for dinner. We did a quick search for Mexican food and tacos. We were about a half mile from Frausto's and heading in that direction. We said, "why not? Should be quick and easy, yes?" As we approached, we did not know what to expect or look for as we had just arrived to the area and it was dark outside. What caught our eye were the bright LED lights on the food truck/trailer as we approached the driveway to enter the parking lot they were located in. As we parked and surveyed the layout, several cars pulled in right behind us. We quickly surmised that our choice to visit Frausto's was a good choice. The service was excellent for a food truck. The team there was very quick and efficient as we observed how they processed carry-out and to-go orders at the table and over the phone. Surprisingly, we found ourselves in a bit of a quandary as the menu had more food options than expected. We chose tacos and were not disappointed. They were hot and the served portions of the taco fillings were plentiful. The atmosphere was very good considering that this was a food truck in a parking lot. The surrounding area was well lit and ingress/egress was very manageable. Overall, it was a great choice for our dinner and would return...
Read moreAbsolutely the best tacos in all of southern Arizona! My usual favorite is the Barbacoa taco, and let me tell you, the shredded beef is so flavorful and juicy that they generously wrap it in two tortillas for you. But it doesn’t stop there. The al pastor taco, made with succulent pork and complemented by those smoky notes and chunks of pineapple, is a must-try. I often can’t resist ordering three of those alone! And then there’s the carne asada caramello, which is practically a meal in itself. Loaded with a delectable blend of cheese and carne, it’s served with a side of avocado salsa and sour cream, creating an explosion of flavors in every bite. I can’t get enough of this place; in fact, I’m here weekly, and it never disappoints. A true...
Read moreWent to an event that Fraustos street tacos parked their food truck. They were friendly, fast and delicious. Very difficult deciding what to eat. The whole menu looks amazing. Got a simple quesadilla and shrimp tacos. Quesadilla was perfect, not too greasy not too much cheese. Just right. Shrimp tacos were a great size (3) to an order, battered in a light breading and mixed with cabbage, pickled onions and sauces on a choice of corn or flour tortillas. I can’t wait...
