I have left this review for a number of reasons. The food used to be much better but this only one reason. I went in this morning. I was sitting at a table that happened to be facing the exit door of the kitchen when one of the workers came out and I could not help notice when he turned his head to the side and kind of spit something off the tip of his tongue on to the floor.. Looked like a candy wrapper or something similar. I was surprised and annoyed to witness this and I did mention this to one of the people before I left and she said that it would be taken care of however, that is not what I felt. I will not go in there in the future. Oh and by the way, they do not know how to scrabble eggs as they were more like fried flat and had brown spots and then creamy places and were just luke warm to the taste and the potatoes were not done and tasted pasty and the sausages had no taste.. I did like the toast but it could have been a bit warmer. thats it from this one. sorry JerryBobs... I can understand however that you guys are doing so well in this town... the people here for the most part have issues hearing and seeing and probably tasting, so your food is safe in a manner of speaking. Adendumn.....gave them another chance in the last month. should have know better.. went in this morning and had to send back the two eggs over medium well. first was just over easy and the next one was one side over medium well and the other was just over. What is the issue with this place!!! the home fries were dry and the meat did not have much flavor. OK I will not go back in there.. SORRY! IS THERE ANY PLACE IN GREEN VALLEY TO HAVE a partially good breakfast? LOL LOL LOL Oh and by the way here's some salt on the wound. These people don't do anything for veterans on veterans Day but they do give 10% all...
Read moreToday was a debacle
We support this establishment, because we we want to keep locals employed, love the staff, food and service they so proudly provide every day.
To todays experience
Today we went there and the usually fully staffed restaurant only had 2 waitresses working. The restaurant was about 3/4 full and there was this contraption of a robot serving. While it took longer then usual to find a table, the table we chose was still dirty with plates on it (wasn’t the only one) and the food which usually comes out quick and delicious was less then appealing. It wasn’t the waitresses fault. The staff on hand was overwhelmed because of lack of staff on the floor.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO READ THIS
Understand, that if you’re going to have robots, replace the staff we support with our money, we will stop supporting the restaurant. The robot blocked the walk way for an elderly woman, who was using a walker trying to sit at a table, and wouldn’t get out of the way until one of the only two waitresses on hand, had to stop what she was doing, to come and do what ever she needed to do to get this contraption out of the way. Again we come here because we support the staff but if this is how this establishment is going to move forward we will go to the casino on the other side of town where we can get the same breakfast and same mediocre service we got today for only 12 dollars instead of the $40-50 including tip we spend here each...
Read moreHope this was a fluke; today was quite disappointing. You can't run a busy restaurant with 2 front end staff responsible for seating people, taking orders, bussing tables and checking out. Also coordination between service staff and food preparers is imperative for happy customers.
Not too busy when we arrived for late breakfast / early lunch, but traffic increased as we sat there. Orders were taken promptly and cheerfully. We saw that the pancake portion--one of apparently 3 pancake plates--was prepared quickly and was ready at the grill window. Then it sat on that counter, and sat and sat. The wait people were busy and filled any spare time clearing plates and restocking coffee mugs. But the pancakes sat. I restrained myself from screaming "The pancakes were ready 10 minutes ago; are you going to wait until they are cold?!?"
The grill window was full before we heard the first "order up" to signal the waitress that she could deliver the orders. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, and potatoes were cold; the meat portion was tepid. We asked to prepare fresh pancakes, and they came out hot as they should; when we realized the rest of the food was cold we simply sighed and later told the wait staff. While we were offered a comped meal, we would prefer a good meal, and left payment.
Overall, quite disappointing, as Jerry Bob's is usually a reliable restaurant in...
