I am taking the time out to share my excellent experience with Jerry at e-Tech Solutions.
My older phone basically died. I took it to another place just before Jerry.
The place before Jerry was extremely difficult to communicate with and their first 'shoot from the hip' decision was to factory reset my phone. Once again the workers were very hard to communicate with to the fact that I became frustrated because I didn't want that to be my first and only option.
I then looked Jerry up and called him. His voicemail came up and I left a message. Jerry promptly returned my call. eTech Solutions is a 40-minute drive away for me.
Jerry showed compassion and stated he didn't want me to have to drive all the way to him to attempt to reset my phone. Jerry was willing to attempt to fix it for free over the phone call versus making the long drive over. I needed a phone so I myself felt better being in a professionls hands so I went to the store.
Upon arrival I noticed Jerry is a very professional, competent, and truly has a zest for communicating with people and resolving their issues. There were two customers before me and I watched how he shot those people straight with their best interest at heart.
After several hours of work on my phone Jerry deemed my phone to be ultimately dead. In the meantime Jerry had given me a loaner phone that he set up for me to use so I wouldn't be without a phone. Upon picking up my old phone and to return my loaner phone Jerry did not charge me anything for his diagnostic time spent with my phone.....nothing. AND Jerry sold me the loaner phone for a very very cheap price as to not leave me stranded without a phone.
The moral of the story here is even through a challenging time with my dead phone Jerry was the consummate professional who was able to still set me up with excellent service and communication and other options.
This is what it's all about. Professional service even during challenging circumstances. A true character as to who he is and what he represents at eTech solutions.
Give him a try you won't be sorry. There is also a real good chance you'll chuckle and smile with Jerry's light hearted attitude all the while still being a straight shooter and experienced professional in the technical field.
All in all it was an excellent experience and I will have no problem making the 40 minute drive as to when I may need him again.

She never had a passcode before and when it asked for a pin number she was not able to get into her phone and it locked her out of everything. We knew eTech Solutions was in St. Charles and decided to give them a try. We were told by our phone provider to do a factory reset and all data would be lost. Jerry was able to reset my mom's phone and luckily pull some info and pictures from my mom's google account. We had tried to log in to her google account unsuccessfully because in order to log in her phone needed to be unlocked to receive a code. This soft locked us and we had no option to fix on our own. Jerry worked for over an hour and restored access to the phone, google account, and photos that were saved by google. He even stayed past closing time and told us to come back in a week to make sure the google account and phone were still properly recovered. Technology is getting more and more not user friendly and companies make it hard to recover things even when you can prove you own something or have account names and passwords. I believe Jerry understands that frustration and he showed his knowledge in trying to fix my mom's phone. He is well schooled in his trade and even through difficult circumstances he was able to produce a working phone from a locked out paper weight. From this experience I would trust him if I ever had any other phone related issues. I feel he has honesty, integrity, and genuinely cares about his business and customers. Backstory: Asked my phone carrier to fix the screen (has insurance) who stated they didn’t have the screen in stock, didn’t know when they’d have it in stock, had no way to transfer the data, and suggested I mail it in which would result in all data lost and 7 to 10 business day repair (not counting weekends, so basically 2 to 3 weeks). While I did have most of the data backed up, a loss of work phone for this long would be a problem as you can imagine.
Visited a few of the local carrier outlets and other shops and found a sales rep who suggested eTech and said they’d fix it same day and conduct the repair in front of me. Initially I was skeptical but after examining the referral card there was no referral ID etc so it felt like a genuine referral.
Review:
I arrived at eTech and asked the representative if he had a screen in stock, which he immediately retrieved. eTech quoted me a full repair very minimal above what I would have paid for my insurance deductible and well below for genuine replacement glass I searched for online. The representative was extremely friendly and professional, and the repair took about 20 minutes which was pretty impressive given how the S8+ with the edge light is put together. While I hope I do not have an accident with my phone again, if I did, I would certainly return. A very pleasant experience which was pretty surprising given my other experiences with quotes and responsiveness from my service provider and other companies I visited. I 100% recommend...
