Absolutely terrible experience. Dropped three dresses off on February 8, 2022 (my mother's dress, my dress and my daughter's dress) to be altered before my sister's wedding next week. We went to pick them up last week (one month later) and they hadn't even been touched. They told us to come back in a few hours and when we came back they were all done incorrectly. The shoulders needed to be taken in on my dress and instead of separating the fabric, removing the excess and resewing it, they just pinched the fabric together and added some stitching. It has given me a mini-shoulder pad effect. But they completely butchered my mom's dress. The hemline is wavy - it's so bad that the only way it could be fixed is to completely shorten the dress from floor length to tea length. The back was not completed the way we had agreed upon when we came in and had everything pinned up. Instead of again, removing the seam, removing the extra fabric, and reattaching the fabric on the back, they added a dart and made a completely different seam. In doing so they completely altered the look and fit of the dress. There's now a gap/bulge under one of her arms in an area that should not have been impacted by the alterations at all. My mom is beside herself. To have spent that much money on a dress that she loved for something she is so looking forward to, to wait one month for alterations to be completed, and then to have the dress ruined with no time to find another tailor to even try and fix what they did - it's unconscionable. To truly make things right they should refund her for the dress as well as the alterations (it's truly that bad), but if nothing else they should absolutely refund her for the alterations, as they did not perform the service they...
Read moreFreda is AMAZING. I was a 10/12/19 bride who came to her to alter my Aunt's wedding dress that I was to wear. It was during my final dress fitting that I realized the dress doesn't look right on me. The sleeves couldn't be taken in anymore because the fabric was not stretchy, and so my idea was to take the sleeves off. Freda was about to start this process like ONE WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING when my Aunt got very upset and took the wedding dress back. There was a lot of drama around her and the dress, even to the point of my Aunt calling Freda. Freda handled everything with grace and when she heard of it all, she suggested a dress and veil she had made that was sitting in her store window. I came in to try the new dress on and it was beautiful! I felt amazing, like a bride should. We purchased the dress and alterations and Freda did it all within the week prior to the wedding. I'm sharing some photos of the dress because it was absolutely stunning. She truly shows an attention to detail, flexibility in due dates, and true kindness. There are not a lot of people like that anymore. If you need anything altered,...

Freda amazingly not only altered my wedding dress, but made a bolero, custom to me, from scratch! On my dress she replaced the buttons, brought up the shouders, and reinforced the back snap. In addition, she hemed and altered my mothers dress, my Maid of Honor's dress, and my father's pants.
Freda made me feel beautiful at...every....single...appointment! As a plus size bride, I was terrified for alterations. However, leaving her after my first fitting I felt as if my dress was in great hands, and for a reasonable price.
I was worried about my size and was going to let out the sides; however, I trusted her advice and we reinforced the snaps and buttons instead. Thank god I trusted her because my dress fit like a glove the morning of!
I felt beautiful and am so grateful I was recommended to Freda. I intend use her in the future for any...
