Worst Decision of my life! Bought my fiancĆ© a ring here and spent a large amount of money with the ring, band, and lifetime warranty. Within two months of her wearing it a diamond started turning yellow. When we went into the store and asked the guy he said ā that will happen over time.ā Over time? Itās been two months. He then said that she must have got something on it to stain it. So he cleaned the ring and the yellow went away. Well it went away for about a day and then the yellow was worse than before. So the next day we went to take it back a second time and my wife took the ring out of the box and realized the yellow diamond fell out. So we took it in and the same dumb guy said they will have it fixed in about two days since we found the diamond that fell out and they will let us know when itās ready. So two days came around and I called after no one had reached out to us. The girl said they had to send it to their āhome officeā and it would be about a week. I asked why is wasnāt able to be fixed in the two days and she said they donāt do repairs at the store. Which the lovely guy didnāt say. So fast forward a week with no answer I call again. Then I am told they had to cut a brand new diamond to get a proper fit. So it will be about another two weeks. So we wait two weeks and nothing, so I call once again. And i am told that it takes time to find the perfect diamond to fit that ring. WHAT A BUNCH OF BS! So they give me the number to the āhome officeā NO! They give me the number to some customer service lady for KAY, ZALES, JARED etc. The only thing that came out of her mouth is āIām sorry but this stuff takes time and it should be about a week.ā 5 MONTHS THIS WENT ON! 5 MONTHS! No update or anything unless I called the lady and got the same answer! So then I decide to take legal action and all of a sudden the store calls me and says your ring is back. We go in and the same dumb guy canāt seem to find the ring. After digging around in the back he found it. No he grabbed a new ring which didnāt fit my wife finger. So we decided that we will just take it and get it sized somewhere else. Then the guy says he has paper work for us to sign. So I look it over and he is having us sign a contract saying that Kay jewelers no longer has anything to do with our ring and a few more other BS things I wonāt mention. So long story shorter I will never ever have anything to do with this company again or any chain company of it! Needless to say the same diamond on this other ring has fallen out. I urge people to think of this review because the other positive reviews are from people who work at the store and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe counter clerks that work there, seem to have a tendency to say things they arent super sure about. For example. A few weeks ago, I was told I could absolutely have the diamond in my ring upsized in the setting that I currently have with no problems. I was even given a quote/price that it would cost and told the size of diamond that we would being sizing up to. Monday I made the appointment to come in and meet with them today to start the process only to be told by the same gal that orginally helped me weeks before "they can't do that because of the ring/setting I have" while she had another one of her co workers there with her. She said that the company wouldnt do it and there was nothing they could do. Why would she have told me originally that it wasnt a problem and to come back in when Im ready to have my ring sent in if thats really the case? Another example is, my ring had some dullness/tarnishing that had happened due to some chlorine water. I asked if they could at least polish it or have it re done in white gold. Again their response together was "nope, theres nothing we can do with that. Tarnishing will happen and you need to just brush it with a toothbrush in warm water and dawn soap. Or just keep wearing it and eventually some of the tarnish will wear off" What they also suggested was that I could upgrade with them to a different ring. My heart sank. I was crushed. They were so insensitive to the importance and meaning of the ring that I had and was hoping to fix. A ring that was purchased from their store! I left crying and decided to get a second opinion before going home. Went to another jeweler outside of the mall who actually answered their phone when I called, worked me in without an appointment 30 minutes before their closing time, polished my ring and made it absolutely perfect again, along with had the jeweler go over several different options on having the diamond upsized and even re done in white gold if Id like. Im so glad I got a second opinion from an actual professional who CARED about me as a customer vs clerks who arent as educated as they proclaim to be. Ive had a few negative experiences with Kays here in St. George, but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt until today. I wont be going back there anymore and wouldnt recommend anyone else to either. Just very unprofessional...

I will never bring my business to this location again. I have many custom pieces of jewelry, some family heirlooms, but mostly collections with my travels around Europe, Japan, and Doha, Qatar. Many custom bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc. but my collection mostly has watches, and different pieces with pearls and precious stones collected and brought together for assembling with special projects. So you can imagine, I treat my pieces like my babyās. So I get really stingy and protective over each piece. So I started with a simple locket family heirloom, it is a 18k yellow gold locket with celtic carved markings into it, with a half carat diamond in the middle on the front of it. I was thinking of getting it cleaned up, polished, and ready to gift it to my daughter like it was for the last 2 generations. But when I took it to this location, the woman was VERY rude, she did not care that it was a family heirloom, she had the nerves to say this given to my daughter was insulting, and she would never do this to her kids, if her dad did this to her, she would of been pissed, and would of made his next 6 years a living hell⦠š”, she even made negative comments out loud saying āthat is not a diamond, and a diamond should be 5 carat or bigger!, if not that big or bigger, then itās nothing importantā.
So you can imagine that I took my property back and I will not be returning.
So to those readers finding this review, I would not suggest taking your business some where your dreams, and your heartfelt feelings are insulted.
My suggestion to the manager(s) for this location, I would suggest you not hire immature young women that have not heart, thought, or care in the world of what a piece of jewelry is meant to be symbolizing. It is not their place to judge your customers and...
