This is a great value for those seeking a nice hotel at an affordable price. The Ramada is rated a 2-star hotel, but its quality is on the upper end of 2-star, so much so, that it feels like you are staying at a 3-star hotel for a 2-star price - and that's a very nice sweet spot for budget conscious travelers! The hotel is in the middle of the shopping district, so very convenient to as many restaurants as one can hope for, and conveniently located right off I-15. However, it is also because of these two things that it is a bit on the noisy side. We could hear both the shopping traffic and freeway traffic through the closed window. (Upper floor windows do open, which is an awesome feature - always nice to get fresh air into a room and not have to worry about smelling a musty hotel room! No musty odors at this hotel!) Light sleepers may have difficulty with the noise - I'm a regular earplug user when traveling, and it didn't bother me. The finishings throughout are intricate, visually appealing, and calming in nature, which provide a very inviting atmosphere. They spent time and money making this place look nice, and it shows. There is a little wear and tear you'd expect to see at any hotel that's got a few years under its belt, but you can tell they've intentionally tried to keep this place up to par. The rooms were average - not great, but not bad. Everything was clean, which is the most important thing in my opinion. A few things in the room could have been updated, but keeping it in context, this is a 2-star hotel, and it's not fair to expect it to look like a 3 or 4 star experience. Overall, I was quite pleased with my stay across the board. There is a free breakfast, which includes hot items (eggs and sausage), as well standard hotel food items like waffles, bread items, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Also a pool and hot tub were being used by other travelers, and appeared to be in good working order. Last, they have two electric car charging stalls - a nice feature for those who may need it. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm passing through.

The price was insanely high for a 2.5 star motel in Saint George. We got in at around 10:30pm. They wouldn't let my husband check us in, I had to go in. Then the girl at the desk wanted the person in the back to check us in. When they didn't come out she ended up doing it. At almost $250 a night for an old 2 star hotel in Southern Utah they were going to charge us for wifi unless we signed up to their membership program. After the long check in process we got to our room. It was clean but that's about it. Our 7 year old was going to sleep on the pull out. After traveling all day and getting her ready for bed we pulled it out and there were no sheets. We called the front and they were confused and put out and said it would be a bit because they were helping people. At this point it was almost midnight, we were exhausted, there was only 2 towels and my husband had to end up making the pull out bed after going down to the desk to finally get someone to get us bedding. Frustrating and not worth the price or experience.

I guess this is a classic case of you get what you pay for. So I don't know how much I can complain because I suppose I got a fair price for what I received for the holiday weekend that we stayed. But definitely not a bargain.

The staff was kind. The rooms were average clean but very dated. The hotel is in need of new carpet everywhere. It is filthy and worn in the entrance and hallways and even taped down by duct tape on the corners in the entrance where you check in. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked fine. The breakfast was not too bad, not too great. Except the scrambled eggs were pretty bad (maybe powdered eggs?). Sausage, waffles, cereal, pastries, yogurt, and juice were fine.

My biggest gripe is that the tub would not drain when we showered. A maid would have to have recognized this when cleaning. I guess it does drain eventually, but it probably takes 10 minutes to drain after you finish showering, so you're standing in a couple of inches of dirty water when you finish showering. When I read a couple of reviews saying the elevators weren't working for several weeks/months, I thought it would be no big deal and that they would be repaired by the time we stayed. I thought wrong. They were still broken and it was annoying to have to carry several large pieces of luggage up to the second floor. I don't think they plan on fixing it to be honest.

Location is great-- relatively close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Again, staff was very nice. The hotel in general just does not look very well maintained at all and needs some renewal. I'd give it a c+ overall. These are not so much staff issues as they are owner...

During our recent road trip to Colorado, we decided to spend the night in St. George after driving for over 6 hours. We needed just a place to sleep before continuing our trip. We made a last minute booking through Hotels.com at the Ramada St. George. Since it was after midnight, the option to book for the same day was no longer available. We arrived at the front desk at 1am, tired with two kids only to find out we couldn’t get a room because our reservation was for the following day (technically it wasn’t as it was 1am). What frustrated me the most was the lack of customer service as the person at the front desk made no attempt to assist us, he said that, if it was 4am, maybe he could make an exception and charge us for an early check in but, since it was too early, the only option was to pay for a new room. My husband decided to pay since we were tired and needed a place to rest; we paid for a second night for literally 4 hours of sleep. We were told we could contact the manager in the morning and request to use the existing reservation and get a refund, his words “I see it all the time”. Well, that was a waste of our time as the manager did nothing to help. Horrible customer service for a run down hotel. Room was clean but the walls and the condition of the hotel is horrible. Never again! We have stayed in La Quinta St. George and not only the customer service is amazing, the hotel is...
