I love this place and the people that work there. Every interaction, with every employee has been exemplary. You go in there and there are several people that genuinely care about your problem and are willing to help you find a solution. They don't try and "sell" you things you don't need. I brought in paint that I had purchased at another store and they were happy to put in on the machine that stirs it. I brought in glass to replace a mirror that I broke and they charged me a very reasonable fee to cut it. I replaced a piece of glass from an old window. It had some stained glass around the perimeter. One of the employees referred me to a product that helps create a faux stained glass finish. They don't even sell the product at the store. The employee gave a me a piece of scrap plexi-glass to practice on. The hours of operation work with almost everyone's schedule. You can get your animal fix with the sweetest shop cat, around. This is the "hardware store feel" I remember going to with my Dad as a kid although it has slightly better...
Read moreI have been a customer of Kendall's Hardware since around the time True Value Hardware closed down in what was once the Lexington/University Mall area. Needless to say, that's a very, very long time! Kendall and his staff are second to none in the way they help their customers with efficient, polite and very thorough knowledge of what is being sought after (even if you're not entirely sure yourself). The store(s) are very well stocked with hundreds of thousands of items and they also offer other services like window repairs and some modifications of various different items. I've retired now and don't get in there as often as I used to, but I occasionally drop in and the new location is busting at the seams with very well stocked merchandise and customers leaving with smiles on their faces. In-so-far-as hardware stores, they're the cream of the crop here in the metro area and I'm delighted to give this recommendation to a wonderful organization. I wish them much continued...
Read moreI recently stopped into Kendall’s Ace Hardware to grab some nails for a photo-hanging project, and the experience was excellent. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, which was really nice.
After browsing a bit, I encountered a store associate who immediately offered help. I mentioned I was looking for nails, and they promptly took me directly to the nail section, where I found everything I needed for my project. The staff here clearly know their stuff and are eager to assist.
Even at the register, the customer service continued to impress—every employee I encountered was friendly and welcoming. The team here truly made the shopping experience top-notch.
One thing to note: if you’re concerned about parking, there’s a lot located in the back of the store. The main street can be pretty busy, but the lot in the back has a decent amount of space, making it easy to get in and out.
I highly recommend this location, and I’ll definitely be back if I need...
