I drove about 50 minutes on Saturday 8/3 from North Tampa to Five Deuces Galleria in St Pete to see the work of an acquaintance, Cristina DeNegri, who was scheduled to be displayed through 8/31. The website said Five Deuces would be open until 4 pm. I arrived around 1 p.m., ate lunch at the Puerto Rican cafe nearby and went looking for her work. Parts of the Five Deuces complex were open, but the gallery where DeNegri’s work was displayed was locked and there was no one around to open it.
