Five Deuces Galleria — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

I drove about 50 minutes on Saturday 8/3 from North Tampa to Five Deuces Galleria in St Pete to see the work of an acquaintance, Cristina DeNegri, who was scheduled to be displayed through 8/31. The website said Five Deuces would be open until 4 pm. I arrived around 1 p.m., ate lunch at the Puerto Rican cafe nearby and went looking for her work. Parts of the Five Deuces complex were open, but the gallery where DeNegri’s work was displayed was locked and there was no one around to open it.

Five Deuces Galleria is an amazing example of restorative architecture and reclaimed building materials used in a beautiful layout of two different buildings and a garden area. There are 22 Artist Studios among the three buildings... and ALL of the artists have a distinct style, separate even from the artists at the Galleria! Both the architectural and unique art make for an interesting walk through... check it out...

I love this place! The gallery is large, but feels intimate and the scale is just right for showing art. The main area has studios that branch off, and each studio is completely different and interesting.
