I’m giving this place an amazing review because of what happened with me two weeks before my wedding and how they handled it.
Deborah Glaspie offered to do my alterations and is a HORRIBLE business woman. She’s extremely unprofessional and STOLE my dress the day I was supposed to have my last fitting because I wouldn’t pay her before seeing what she had done. The day before she called me and swore up and down I had my dress, which doesn’t make sense if I was meeting her to look at the finished product. She needed me to send her a picture of my dress to see if she even had it and said she mixed me up with someone else’s dress and was doing alterations to that one based off me. EXCUSE ME. She canceled my appointment to take someone to a hair appointment and asked if she could come to my house at 6-7 and I said no I have plans due to our appointment being at 430 that she’s now trying to cancel. I agreed to 5 at my house and she didn’t show up until 7pm. During that time she kept asking me for payment before seeing my dress and left me a voicemail saying she’s not brining my dress until I pay… before I’ve seen it or she even got to my house. She showed up and refused to let us see the dress and DROVE OFF with my dress and refused to even let us see it before sending over the money. I now know it’s because she didn’t do what she said she was going to do and wanted to take my money and drive off with unfinished work. This went on for two days and we ended up going to the bridal shop due to being told my dress was there. We got there and talked to the staff (I did not get their names) but they listened to what was happening and got in touch with Deborah because she blocked me and couldn’t get in contact with her. They called her and helped me get in touch with her and she yet again said I needed to send the money to her before I saw my dress. They helped handle the situation and the customer service I got from them was immaculate. The lady who stepped in to help me as Deborah called “back up” to come to the store because I refused to pay for unfinished work. (Hints why she wouldn’t let me see my dress before paying) she intervened and helped get across that unfinished work isn’t going to be paid.
Deborah at one point was putting her hands in my mother in laws face and my mother’s face and pushed my mother in law out of the way because her friend was recording the whole situation. She then proceeded to yank me around in my dress almost causing me to fall and I told her not to put her hands on me and when I stated I wasn’t paying for unfinished work she UNZIPPED MY DRESS IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional childish interactions. She had no sympathy to helping me finish my wedding dress and drove off with it the night before and refused to give it to me for two days until we showed up at the shop, which again. The staff was AMAZING with helping me figure this out and get this handled. After I sent the money for only what she did I thanked the lady and they all said they are sorry and wished be good luck on my wedding day.
The staff is amazing and they have a list of seamstress’s to use but I would NOT go through Deborah. She continuously used my dress as collateral because I wouldn’t pay before seeing the work she did, and tried to scam me out of $500 for...
Read moreI found my wedding dress here and I cannot rave about this place enough. I went in on Saturday and tried a handful of dresses, knowing deep down that I had picked mine, but wanted to try different options. I immediately felt welcomed and put first when I went in. All the women are friendly, nice, uplifting, and I did not feel rushed. I was able to relax and try on dresses as many times as I wanted. I went back in today (Tuesday) and was recognized and felt like I was among friends who truly wanted me to find my dream dress. Even if the one I picked Saturday wasn't there, I knew this was a place I wanted to get it from. Everyone made me feel so confident and I wasn't self-conscious about anything. Going into the idea of wedding dress shopping, I was thinking about the things I didn't want to show - my upper arms, my back, my stomach, etc. But after finding THE dress, I was even allowed to sit in it for a while and just talk with my friend who had come, and they didn't rush me into a decision. I can't wait to go back and add some jewelry to my everyday collection, as well as do some everyday clothing shopping. Highly recommend if you want an overall fantastic experience and made to feel like you're the only one...
Read moreI love Newfangled Bride! My cousin bought her wedding dress there, my sister bought hers there, my friend bought hers at Newfangled and I bought items for my wedding day attire here too (my sleep and veil). Four out of my eight bridesmaids bought their dresses here that looked absolutely stunning on them. The other four bridesmaids live out of town and that is the only reason why they did not go here for their dress. It's not just consignment dresses, they do have dresses you can order which is what one bridesmaid chose to do. Not only were they super helpful with the bridesmaids dresses, Debbie did the flowers for my wedding and they looked positively lovely. There were 9 bouquets, 9 boutonnieres and two altar pieces and all of them were exactly what I was hoping for. All I had to do was send her pictures I found on Pinterest. She did an incredible job and I couldn't be...
