My child moved out of state, to a big city, and was needing me to send her some important documents. I paid extra to have it there in 2 days. Well... the address I was given was incorrect so I needed to get the documents back. I called the UPS customer service number and they couldn't see the package so they advised that I had to go INTO the local store. Luckily, I'm not too far from my store but, that's not the case for everyone. Marcio at the Salem, VA location was excellent in finding out where the package was and what I needed to do to get the package back. When I got the package back, I decided to send the package overnight since these were identification documents and she needed these ASAP (It cost $88.00 to send it 0vernight). I sent the package out by 11:00am on Wednesday and was advised that it would be in her hands by noon the next day. The next day the tracking number showed that the package was sitting in Roanoke, VA!!! I called Customer Service and, AGAIN, they tossed me to the local store. Luckily, again, MARCIO, was there to help me. Even though he was on his lunch break, he came to the front of the store to help, knowing the dire situation my daughter was in. Not only did the package not make it by Thursday but I was being told that it wasn't even going to go out until Saturday and she wasn't going to get it until Monday!! To sum it up, in both instances, Marcio made phone calls to find out where the package was. He knew it would take some time so, he took my phone number so I could continue on with life. Marcio called the UPS facility in California, Roanoke and who knows where else?? Marcio called me and kept me abreast of what was going on, what he was doing and what we could hope to expect. My daughter finally got her documents and I got a refund. By the way, Marcio did all of this while training someone at his location. Heās an efficient and successful multi-tasker. Marcio is a valuable asset to UPS. Iād rather you not ever re-locate him but, if you must, you must. BUT, letting him go elsewhere for employment would be a disservice to the people who go to this location and to yourselves. Make sure he gets a great big kudos this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in Tuesday and was assisted by Marcio. I explained to him I needed my package shipped to the address and pointed at the return shipping label that I had created and placed on the box. He proceed to point at the box, and didnāt say a word I looked at him and he said your tape? I didnāt tape the box. I told him I didnāt have any, he proceeded to say with a disgusting attitude āwell the stores do so you could buy itā. He then proceed to say with a sarcastic tone and say āI will do you a favor and do it for youā. I said oh well UPS supply it and Iāve never went had a problem with UPS taping my box up, so I didnāt think Iād be an issue this time. I told him he didnāt have to be a jerk and talk to me that way. He acted flabbergasted as if he didnāt have an attitude. He handed me my receipt and I left. The next day Wednesday I came home from work and the same package I gave him was on my front porch. You can clearly see where the label existed on the box where I placed it. He even tapped on the spot the label was at except the label was no longer there. I still have my receipt showing I dropped it off and the tracking shows in transit to go to OH not VA. I went in there today to resend my package, Marcio assisted me again took my package gave me my receipt. I asked him why did he take my label off the package he said he didnāt and that the driver most have. Absolutely not I said how could the driver have done that if you had put tape on the label? What is the driver going to do pull your tape off and then my label and retape my package back up. No Marcio pulled my label off then taped the box. The expression on his face showed he was guilty, then he said it was a stressful day at work and admitted that he did it and doesnāt know why he did it and apologized. And asked me to accept his apology. Apologies is not going to fix tampering with my mail. I asked for the supervisor information and he refused to give me it. Marcio should not be a manager if he is tampering with federal mail. I believe thatās a felony. This needs to be taken to higher up...
