We stopped in for the (delicious) funnel cake when we noticed the stand set up in the parking lot, but ended up sticking around for some wonderful conversation and to purchase some items from the store. This is a really unique and special place in the heart of Salem - the goods they sell are high quality, the food is delicious, and the owners are kind and community-focused. I highly recommend anyone in the area stop in and visit, or even make a day trip of it and spend some time exploring the local shops. Thanks for such a great visit KB Mercantile, I look forward to...

KB Mercantile is a hidden gem. There's a variety of offerings including a nice selection of Amish food. My favorite is the Chicken Pot Pie. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out! (Did I mention the owner of the store drives to Pennsylvania each week to pick it up?) Also, I LOVE that there's handmade goods. Individual vendors create a variety of treasures.
